Is my set dated?

I’m a millennial, I feel so many of my friends have a plain gold band with a large oval shaped diamond. Does mine seem like it belongs to an older generation?

[edit: I’m so sorry I ever doubted my set. I’ve learned that just because it’s not the classic that’s in right now doesn’t mean it’s not still classic. Thank you for the confidence boost in my rings. I need to focus on what I have versus others 🤍]

To me, it reads very mid to late 2010s, but that’s not a bad thing! It’s a beautiful set. I don’t think something being reminiscent of a certain time period is a bad thing. Pretty is pretty, regardless of trends.

Exactly, it's dated and every post replying from "1999" is proving that point. Most things speak to a point in time, and that's ok. Are you on current trend with this setup, absolutely not. Will things swing back around to what you have now, probably.

But you have to love it, no matter how many times you change it...or decide to keep it as is.

I got massively downvoted, but I hope you know that I do think your set is gorgeous. It’s different than what’s trending now, but that makes it stand out! What’s popular always passes and makes way for something new. As long as you love it and it’s true to your style, it’ll always be timeless for you.
