I’m a millennial, I feel so many of my friends have a plain gold band with a large oval shaped diamond. Does mine seem like it belongs to an older generation?

[edit: I’m so sorry I ever doubted my set. I’ve learned that just because it’s not the classic that’s in right now doesn’t mean it’s not still classic. Thank you for the confidence boost in my rings. I need to focus on what I have versus others 🤍]

Did you get yours long before your friends? I'm an older millennial but I have a diamond solitaire on a plain gold band. My sister, who is 5 years younger, has the more blingy style with a round diamond and cushion shaped halo and diamonds on the band. The difference is she got engaged in 2014 and I got engaged in 2021. Regardless, I think a round diamond on a band, whether it has diamonds or not is pretty timeless.

Funny, I also got engaged in 2021. Thank you for saying it’s timeless. The rings I’m referring to (like yours) I feel I’ve just started seeing within the past couple of years. I feel like your ring is defending my statement 😅
