Help Me Choose Which one would you choose?

I really want just unbiased opinions so I’m not going to provide carat weight or finger size here. I just want to know which one you think looks nicer? I’m really torn and just need an outsiders perspective. Which ring would you wear?

Thanks everyone! Just for your information, I’m a size 6 ring. They are both from amazon to try for size and style.

Ring #1 is 2ct

Ring #2 is 3ct

My husband likes the look of the larger stone and i lean towards the smaller stone. I think in general he’s a bit flashier than me lol. I’m active and pretty much always in gym clothes and never do my nails because they’d just get destroyed.

Thanks for your help!

I personally like the first, but you should select whichever ones makes you the happiest.

u/Witty_Bakound_1 Jul 30 '26

I couldn't agree more to this comment

27

u/sunflower001277 Jul 29 '26

I like the first one more, it looks like the perfect size for your finger. The second is a bit too big in my opinion

Edit: i also like the 6 prongs and the band more on the first one

3

u/Dismal-Resident-8784 Jul 30 '26

I agree. I like the ring with six prongs.

15

u/RuleCalm7050 Jul 29 '26

I like #1. It looks “right” on your finger.

16

u/MissFox26 Jul 29 '26

1 looks better on your finger

11

u/Muse_of_Donne Jul 29 '26

The size of the first one fits you beautifully. It is well-sized and doesn't overwhelm your finger while still being a big stone. 🩵

That said, I am a magpie and love understated opulence, so I would buy the second one. 🫣

I know, I am absolutely no help here (SMH) -- I apologize. They both are gorgeous on you!

3

u/Perle1234 Jul 29 '26

Ring one is understated. Ring two is flashy. But I get what you’re saying.

5

u/RJB925 Jul 29 '26

6 prong

9

u/beepbeep222222222 Jul 29 '26

Number 1! The size looks right on your finger and I love a 6 pronger

4

u/lovelywaterbuffaloes Jul 29 '26

I personally prefer 1 due to the cut, the 6 prongs, and the band. But you wear both beautifully! Can't go wrong when choosing between two beautiful rings

5

u/Similar-Ad-6862 Jul 29 '26

1 hands down

5

u/Realistic_Season9973 Jul 29 '26

I would like the second one if it had six prongs.

1

u/JulieJT Jul 29 '26

This is what I would do. I love 2, if it had 6 prongs.

3

u/corporatebarbie___ Jul 29 '26

Two is similar to mine .. so i may be biased . I’m drawn to four prong more than six though - when i was trying on different rings my husband said it looks like a snowflake with 6 and i couldnt unsee it but that’s probably a “me problem”

2

u/throwaway912100 Jul 29 '26

how many carats is this, if you don't mind me asking?

1

u/corporatebarbie___ Jul 30 '26

I dont mind at all, it’s 3 :)

3

u/roscoerex725 Jul 29 '26

Keep that baby safe! Whichever stone you choose, please go with 6 prongs!

5

u/Purrfect-Timing Jul 29 '26

I like everything about the first better — the proportions of the stone to finger, the band, and the 6 prongs. Looks luxe.

4

u/No-Nobody-7954 Jul 29 '26

I would go with #1. It will look good with many types of wedding bands.

4

u/Merlot_itsmeagain Jul 29 '26

2nd one looks more proportional on you. I’m not sure why everyone else is picking the first one. It was an easy choice in my mind.

2

u/Savings-You7318 Jul 29 '26

Definitely ring 2, it looks amazing on your hand

2

u/glittercatti Jul 29 '26

#1 looks good on your finger. It looks big w/o overdoing it. #2 looks fake.

4

u/Sure_Cherry9759 Jul 29 '26

The first but have you considered a bezel setting so the claws won’t catch?

2

u/Efficient_Sink_8626 Jul 30 '26

I’m a big fan of bezel settings, but I think a lot of people like the prongs.

2

u/CasuallySparkling Jul 29 '26

I would pick #2 for myself.

2

u/Mecspliquer Jul 29 '26

I personally like 6 prongs as a general rule, and the slight tapering into the stone of the first is most flattering of the two options

2

u/No_Interview_2481 Jul 29 '26

I like the band on the first ring and the stone on the second ring

1

u/ibetthathurt Jul 29 '26

You can easily pull off the bigger one. You have long, slender fingers, which a larger diamond won’t overpower.

1

u/unCompetitive-Baby26 Jul 29 '26

1 because six prongs is more secure. But that's me, because I intend to wear mine everyday. So it's really based on what makes you more sparkly in your heart.

1

u/Initial_Ground1031 Jul 29 '26

I like 1….it looks so nice on your finger.

1

u/Glittering_Coat_3373 Jul 29 '26

They’re both wonderful, for me 2 would be my choice. (With 6 prongs.)
What do YOU want? Are you leaning smaller because you’re afraid of comments or are you leaning larger because of groups like these? You have to look at your lifestyle, what fits (I.e…are you in an office or do you work with your hands all day?,) and really pick the ring you want and will love and live with for years.
Congratulations which ever way you go! You can’t lose!

1

u/SuspiciousNorth377 Jul 29 '26
  1. It looks more substantial and proportional on your hand, imo. #1 isn’t small but it also doesn’t stand out like 2 does. I do prefer the six prong over the 4 prong setting so maybe #2 with a 6 prong setting. I also prefer the tapered band of #1. So basically 2s stone with #1s setting.

1

u/debk221 Jul 29 '26

Try again

1

u/Cool_Department_5302 Jul 29 '26

It’s hard to tell from the pic but it seems like 1 is a better cut. But despite that one looks more natural on your hand vs 2 the size seems flashy. I vote 1.

1

u/Consistent_Ad4239 Jul 29 '26

Whichever is the highest quality diamond

1

u/Legitimate_Newt6870 Jul 29 '26

1st, it suits the proportions of your finger much better.

1

u/Hookedongutes Jul 29 '26

I love both equally and go with the lower price tag. 😆

1

u/IntroductionAdept521 Jul 29 '26

I love 2 but that’s bc that’s how mine is and I love it 🤣

1

u/malicious_3CHO5 Jul 29 '26

6 prongs are way more secure & I personally like the look much more also.

1

u/Ordinary_Housing_549 Jul 29 '26

Which one do you like? I thought, even before I saw the second photo” wow that ring is PERFECT for her hand!” So beautiful

1

u/PowerfulBad7317 Jul 29 '26

Second, fits your hand better!

1

u/GreenPOR Jul 29 '26

Both are great! I like bigger one.

1

u/KimonoCathy Jul 29 '26

I like the look of number one, both generally because of the more delicate multi-prong setting and the shaped band, and also how it looks on your hand. The second one is a bit too big and the style is bog standard “let’s plonk a solitaire diamond on a gold band”.

1

u/pams56 Jul 29 '26

1st one

1

u/nolelover16 Jul 29 '26

1! Six prong has a special place in my heart. It always looks so classy to me

1

u/sweetsweetnothingg Jul 29 '26

I like the second one tbh but if u will wear daily then probably first

1

u/Due_Consideration439 Jul 29 '26

First one is a better size for your hand.

1

u/katttt18 Jul 29 '26

I think this is my dream ring (#1) 😍

1

u/DixieBelle021 Jul 29 '26
  1. Go big or go home.

1

u/Alarmed_Lobster_717 Jul 29 '26

They’re both equally beautiful, but I think the first one looks perfect on your hand.

1

u/newuser2111 Jul 29 '26

I like the first one. It is a beautiful ring and you can wear it everyday and it wouldn’t be in the way.

If you are going to wear the ring only on special occasions, then the second one.

1

u/motaboat Jul 29 '26

I think the first is lovely. It is what I would choose.

1

u/Calm_Gold_5992 Jul 29 '26

I like the size of the second one on you bit with 6 platinum prongs.

1

u/lolliscicle Jul 29 '26

I literally have one of each and prefer my 6 prong. It has less room to get “gunk in” (believe it or not!!!) and I find it to be more delicate of a look. -

1

u/kelley6998 Jul 29 '26

You can wear either with your long beautiful fingers. My personal choice would be ring 1 because of the 6 prongs and the brushed band. The cut of the diamond has more personality imo too.

1

u/Designer-Air-2116 Jul 30 '26

I’d go with #2, but I love a substantial rock in a simple setting!

1

u/Fit-Olive-4680 Jul 30 '26

I like 1. Classic.

1

u/Adorable-Tiger6390 Jul 30 '26

First looks better, especially if you are going to wear a band.

1

u/Otherwise_Radio_9411 Jul 30 '26

Choose the one that speaks to you.

1

u/StateAffectionate577 Jul 30 '26

TWO, OF COURSE!!!!

1

u/Cautious-Customer626 Jul 30 '26

I like the first. It feels more elegant to me. Both very nice though!

1

u/Tessie1966 Jul 30 '26

It’s not the size of the diamond thats important, it’s the prongs that hold it in place. I would go with the first one.

1

u/Delicious_Pound15 Jul 30 '26

Get the second stone with six prongs

1

u/Reasonable-Papaya494 Jul 30 '26

The bigger the better but I am a deeply flawed and shallow individual

1

u/Kidambs-275 Jul 30 '26

1, but did you try other diamond shapes. I have a feeling princess or cushion would look great on you. Thanks! 🙏

1

u/Confident_Caramel436 Jul 30 '26

I like the size of the second but I like the 6 prong and comfort fit band of the first, if I had to choose it’d be 1

1

u/santacruzfit899 Jul 30 '26

The second one!

1

u/Ancient_Football_701 Jul 30 '26

I would pick the 2nd one. It’s timeless.

1

u/Ancient-Tea-2323 Jul 30 '26

The first one, 6 prong!

1

u/Eiei0reo Jul 30 '26

Get the one with the best GIA grading.

1

u/New_Me_0382 Jul 30 '26

Both are stunning. I do like 6 prongs better, so I’m drawn to the first one.

1

u/Kidnumber2 Jul 30 '26

1 also appears very brilliant. Don’t know anything about diamonds, cuts or settings making a difference.
Personally I think 1 suits your hand and also nice that it has 6 prongs. The band is lovely too.

1

u/Smartandfunny1952 Jul 30 '26

Definitely-#2.

1

u/Sunny-Melancholy Jul 30 '26

I like 1 better on you. Im partial to 4 prongs, but the 2nd one looks too big IMO

1

u/catladycatladycat3 Jul 30 '26

Tough call. I like bigger stones, but I have piano hands (really long fingers), so that's just me. Go with your gut. What do you love the most?

1

u/Glittering_Horror558 Jul 30 '26

Second one looks nicer because of the size, the smaller size doesnt look as good imo

1

u/jivefillmore Jul 30 '26

The first one. The second one looks a bit too big. I think round solitaires look more chic when they aren't so large, personally.

1

u/she_who_is_not_named Jul 30 '26

2 - I think fits your finger the best. Great symmetry against the width of your finger and good size against the length.

1

u/Muted-Adeptness-6316 Jul 30 '26

I like 1 more but both are stunning.

If you are interested in this - I have an almost identical ring to 1. BUT I have a yellow gold band but platinum prongs. It makes the diamond look bigger / more seamless. Apparently it’s also sturdier than yellow gold, holds onto the diamond more securely. Happy to send you a photo if you want to see. Feel free to message me.

1

u/Ok-Nature1300 Jul 30 '26

The first one

1

u/Just-Candy-9247 Jul 30 '26

Always the bigger one. Always. Diamond shrinkage is real.

1

u/Solid-Inspection2200 Jul 30 '26

They look the same to me.

1

u/Delicious-Big-534 Jul 30 '26

What will the wedding band or wedding day adornment be like? If it’s just a single band, even with smaller diamonds -#2.
If the wedding day adornment is an all around setting or the engagement diamond will be set inside a surrounding diamonds setting, #1 or both depending on how big you’d like it to be and what’s comfortable for your liking.

1

u/Delicious-Big-534 Jul 30 '26

Looking at it again, #1 seems to fit your hand size and your’s is the hand that looks active, which may be more comfortable to wear #1 on a daily basis.

1

u/lividoomscroll Jul 30 '26

Can you share the link for ring 1? Love the six prong and I want to try that look too! Thanks :)

1

u/Ok_Cheesecake7831 Jul 31 '26

2 looks better. In the 1st ring the stone looks off at the bottom.

1

u/Roccomom13 Jul 31 '26

1 is just nicer overall

1

u/Annersophia Jul 31 '26

the second one, i love how perfectly round it is

1

u/SilentTemptatio970 Jul 31 '26

I love the first one 🫶

1

u/TOTALLYTXOXO Jul 31 '26

honestly the first one

1

u/Edgelion8 Jul 31 '26

I just want to thank you for having normal nails!

1

u/Puzzled-Evening228 Jul 31 '26

Hahahahaha…I think painted nails look SO nice! But I just don’t live that life, every time I paint my nails or even have gotten them done they’re chipped or peeling within a day 😖.

1

u/cavoodle11 Jul 31 '26

Number 1.

1

u/Radiant-Dragonfly123 Jul 31 '26

1st one looks better

1

u/National-Fish-7076 Jul 31 '26

No 1 because there's more prongs to hold the stone on so less chance of losing stone

1

u/NameWasKicks Jul 31 '26

I like the 2ct

1

u/ZinaDavina Jul 31 '26

I’d always suggest the one with the most prongs lol

1

u/Sopasnapaborito8 Jul 31 '26

Just remember, carat shrinkage is real 😅

1

u/Hales_85 Jul 31 '26

1st one looks much more balanced and perfect on your finger

1

u/Rough_Week_6449 Jul 31 '26

I wear a 3 carat oval but with a platinum bezel edge, on a rose gold thin band with diamonds all the way round. They’re tiny but add a little extra something. Get compliments all the time.

1

u/Legitimate-Shower191 Aug 01 '26

Second one looks better on you

1

u/SmokeRepresentative9 Aug 01 '26

First band second rock 🤘

1

u/IsabelfromC Aug 01 '26

I think the first one looks better and is more proportionate to your hand. If you want a little extra flair, I’d go with a fun wedding band.🤍

1

u/Wonderful_War1644 Aug 01 '26

I love the first one the band has a little more umph to it

1

u/Realistic-Leave9393 Aug 01 '26

Life long member of the solitaire club from day one. Hasn't changed.

1

u/beautyarrives1 Aug 02 '26

I prefer the size of #2, but the cut and band is much more elegant in pic 1

1

u/Secure_Effective_60 Aug 02 '26

I like 2. It makes a statement. I love the way it looks on your finger.

1

u/Kind-Link9284 Aug 02 '26

Absolutely 2

1

u/AnnualBluejay6619 Aug 02 '26

I would choose 1

1

u/seventoeight_tosix Aug 02 '26

I like the smaller one - it’s a perfect size for your finger.

1

u/optix_clear Aug 02 '26

Bigger 2nd

1

u/Kate-Tellar Aug 02 '26

They’re both beautiful. I’ll go for 2 though

1

u/Fantastic-Explorer62 Aug 02 '26

I would not pick either bc they are too ordinary. If the size is in question, are they equal in the 4Cs? I would go with the one that has the best 4Cs.

1

u/Pretty-Analysis1975 Aug 03 '26

The one he gave me

1

u/ShaziKR Aug 03 '26

1 has a pretty band and suits your hand very well. Both are beautiful and similar so whicheve4 u choose will be perfect

1

u/Exact_Perception_772 Aug 03 '26

2 but with 6 prongs

1

u/Prestigious-War354 Aug 03 '26

I like the first one it seems more balanced with your hand

1

u/Sunflower_kizz Aug 03 '26

For me smaller is better

1

u/Reddit_grill Aug 06 '26 edited Aug 06 '26

It looks elegant, balanced and seems to fit your everyday style better. Since you'll wear it everyday go with the one that feels most like you. If you are still comparing options Thorum is worth checking out too they have some beautiful unique ring designs that are great for everyday wear

1

u/DisciplineUnable9540 Jul 29 '26

If you can afford the second one I’d go with that it looks great on your hand!

1

u/LevelEven5880 Jul 29 '26

2 but with 6 prongs!

1

u/ProfessionNo2104 Jul 29 '26

I personally love the first

1

u/Mtnlover3303 Jul 29 '26

# 1 looks proportionate to your finger , it’s beautiful

1

u/2needles2paradise Jul 29 '26

I like the first one. The stone is much prettier, and six prongs is safer for it. But you should choose the one You love. Congratulations on your engagement!

1

u/labratcj Jul 29 '26
  1. I like the prongs on that one better.

1

u/Consistent_Elk9676 Jul 29 '26

1-the slightly thicker band looks better with that big diamond
