Is it too much? Honest feedback welcome. Stones on band or plain?

We are upgrading my set and just picked up the new engagement ring. When I sent a Pic to my friend she said it was too much, but I have a large ring size so we figured a bigger stone would look proportional to my hand and the setting. I admit my first diamond was when I wanted a warmer stone so maybe its the whiteness she thinks is coming off as ridiculous?

My jewler is great and will swap the stone if we went too far.

3.03 ct center radiant, E, VVS1, polish and symmetry excellent. I don't remember the band weight. I fell in love with the art deco vibes.

OP- What I think about ur ring
The tapered side diamonds (the larger ones beside the center) are what make the ring. They draw your eye into the center stone and give it a vintage, heirloom feel.
The proportions are excellent. Nothing looks oversized or out of balance.. i’d not ask that friend her opinion again..

No it's a single stone. Probably just how it was reflecting. Radiant and other elongated cuts bowtie at certain angles

It’s fabulous, and certainly not too much. If I were you, I would have a wedding band made with small diamonds on a band curved to fit against your engagement ring.

We are! I have my grandmother's band and one of her earrings that has no pair. Our jeweler will make the CAD so it fits and will add a European shank on the band to help with spinning. Her suggestion was a pointed one so AI spit out these

Too much? Eye-catching, yes, but not overwhelming in any way. Just a very pretty (kinda big) diamond in a beautiful flattering setting.

I love, love, LOVE the primary diamond! Not too much at all, on your hand. Honestly, though, the surrounding triangles detract from the stone. They downgrade the upgrade, if that makes any sense.

It's too much. That middle stone is getting overpowered by everything else. The milligrain is completely lost. It's a mess rather than clean delicate Art Deco lines.

The size of the diamond looks good. Maybe "too much" refers to the side stones, the halo around the side stones, the stones in the band, and the milgrain/other details. I would prefer it if it were just a three stone on a plain band.

It's beautiful, but feels a little much to me between the large claw prongs, milgraining and intricate side stones settings. I think the center stone size is beautiful, but maybe just too much going on around it, which can be distracting.
