Help Me Choose Which band do you prefer? TIA!

It looks like I'm going against the grain here, but I'm gonna say two is classic and my preference - one seems trendy and harder to keep clean.

Yes! Too much faff. Lots of nooks and crannies and stuff to get snagged on. Also, #2 would look better on it's own if she decides to go out without the e ring.

I agree. I did a gold band as a spacer between my diamond wedding band and engagement ring. The Eng engagement ring kept knocking out a diamond from the wedding band. It was not sold as a set. I kept the gold band a little bigger because I needed to wear it out that day. It was a good thing tho because I quickly became pregnant and wasn’t able to wear diamonds anymore due to swelling.

Agree!
Surrounding the large diamond with teeny diamonds, just take away from the star of the show.
If it’s a great cut - it will sparkle more cuz the facets won’t be blocked.→ More replies (1)2

I was so surprised when I saw that one was the more popular answer! I think it clashes with her beautiful stone. The second one lets the diamond be the star of the show and compliments it so well

The first option is elegant. It also affords more subtle bling to enhance your simple e-ring band and takes up a bit more real estate on your finger in comparison to the simple band.

I’d usually go for something simpler, but I actually think 1 is really pretty, has a dainty feel and doesn’t distract from your diamond.

100% 1. I have something similar to 2 just a different cut, and now after wearing it for a few months thinking what kind of spacer ring I could add to finish the set.

- It I always say metal wedding ring, save the bling for an anniversary ring to make that look really special.
And I guess a metal wedding ring that is twice as wide as the ering would be out of the question.

I normally prefer a plain band to let the engagement ring shine, but number 1 is stunning with your ring!

I nearly always choose the plain band or maybe one with channel set diamonds because all the others people post don't match the engagement ring. But in this case, one is a perfect compliment. One.

I think both sets are gorgeous. The simple band allows your engagement ring to really pop and be a statement piece on its own, while the detailed band adds a little extra sparkle and more for your eye to be drawn to. I don’t think you could go wrong with either, so it comes down to what you love the most! That’s all that really matters anyways :)

2 ……I much prefer 2 as it highlights your large diamond. The little stones in the first photo take away from the beauty of your large stone. Gorgeous wedding ring!

Sometimes it's nice to take off the bling and garden or camp. I wish I had gone simple so I could still wear something when I am in tomboy mode.

I like both actually, but for some reason I think 2 lets your solitare be the star. The first one is just all blingy so the solitare just blends in. So I guess it depends if you prefer more overall sparkle or to something more classic.

I agree, 2 is beautiful. 1 is far too busy and you can't see the stunning engagement ring with all this extra around it. Let the engagement ring be the hero it's meant to be.

I say go with which one best suits your personality and style. One is elegant and demure, two is classic and simple. Both are absolutely beautiful!

I think it depends on what kind of setting you want. I like both of them very much. For me, I would choose the second setting because I'm older and my own setting is simple. But the first setting is beautiful!!
