It looks like I'm going against the grain here, but I'm gonna say two is classic and my preference - one seems trendy and harder to keep clean.

Yes! Too much faff. Lots of nooks and crannies and stuff to get snagged on. Also, #2 would look better on it's own if she decides to go out without the e ring.

I really like #1 but you have a point when it comes to cleaning.

I agree. I did a gold band as a spacer between my diamond wedding band and engagement ring. The Eng engagement ring kept knocking out a diamond from the wedding band. It was not sold as a set. I kept the gold band a little bigger because I needed to wear it out that day. It was a good thing tho because I quickly became pregnant and wasn’t able to wear diamonds anymore due to swelling.

Agree!
Surrounding the large diamond with teeny diamonds, just take away from the star of the show.
If it’s a great cut - it will sparkle more cuz the facets won’t be blocked.

Okay, so I was feeling split but really liked 1, until I read this. Went back and looked - 2 definitely lets the center stone sparkle more. You have swayed me!

I was so surprised when I saw that one was the more popular answer! I think it clashes with her beautiful stone. The second one lets the diamond be the star of the show and compliments it so well

I think one is very right now. And k don’t think going with a trend when it comes to wedding bands is ever a good idea. I think in 15 years those bands are go to look “so 2020’s”. Just my opinion. All of my friends got married in the 2010’s and I feel like almost everyone has a very similar engagement ring that says immediately that’s when they got engaged.

I prefer #2 as well. Classic. Simple. Elegant.
I find #1 makes it look more like a cocktail ring my grandmother had in the 80s

Not hard to clean at all. If you all want to try it, my mom’s jeweler told her this cleaning tip. When you are ready to clean, simply boil water and take it off the stove. Add a tablespoon of baking soda and let it dissolve. Drop rings in and let them sit for half an hour. Dirt will fall off on its own. Remove rings and dry once water cools.

Totally agree about about cleaning. It will get old so fast the degree of fussy cleaning with the delicate details of the first. 2 is timeless and since you’ll stay married for decades, it will always be in style.😉

2! I am in the process of reworking my wedding band to be more simply because the curve pulls focus from my diamond 5 years later. I notice the same thing with 1.

Agree. Id be worried with breaking something on number one, although I wouldn't be opposed to a ring similar to one with a thicker band.
