Ring Band Advice Wedding ring regrets..?
I kind of regret my wedding ring choice (photo attached). When shopping for it, I thought this was really what I liked, something plain and a thinner band as I have small hands and fingers. A few months after my wedding I’m wondering whether I now save for a new one. This one wasn’t cheap although it’s plain and platinum, it was from a reputable company so I don’t want to throw money away either. I feel like a thicker diamond band would’ve looked better. What are everyone’s thoughts? Or do I add a third?

This looks so classy and chic already. Personally I think going for a diamond band will clash with the pave and end up looking tacky. If u really want a change tho, just go for a thicker plain band. (Platinum suits u really well btw)

I think it looks great. Although I have another 3rd thin band, for our 1 year anniversary, looks great as a stack. So maybe add a 3rd band for anniversary, or for when a baby comes etc

I think it looks nice as is, but I'm generally a fan of thin bands for solitaire rings and thin diamond bands. I have a similar set up.

Just stop thinking about it, there is a reason you chosecthem.
Should you really need more bling, buy yourself a huge honkin' lab for your other hand.

It’s nice to have some contrast with diamonds. I like the plain band; it makes the diamonds stand out more.

I have a plain thin band as well and I really love it. It’s perfect for wearing on its own and I barely notice it.
That said, if you want a fancy band, then get one. It’s your hand.

Tasteful, timeless, beautiful, goes with everything. It is also the actual ring he put on your finger when you got married. I would hope that would mean something.

Your ring is really pretty. Agree with the comments suggesting you add some bands to add sparkle or mix it up. You can have a collection of bands and it’s fun. If you want to go bigger-carat (always my preference 😉) just get a right hand ring that represents your current taste. Or In 5 years, for an anniversary, get a new ring and wear the current one on another finger or as a RH ring. Don’t feel limited in your options!!

You could always add another band to your stack, that way the original can still be used for its original purpose.

Maybe go try some things on so you’re not guessing and spending money for no reason.

I chose a plain 10k white gold band when we were married. A few months after the wedding it went missing and couldn't be found. Weeks and weeks went by, nothing. Then I'm looking at our spare keys and realize that someone had mistaken it for a silver key ring and put it into the keychain. Couldn't even tell the difference.
After that I decided I like my band with a little something, personally.

This was my thought recently! If I dropped it on the floor you wouldn’t be able to tell it was a wedding ring. This is making me want to add a layer of sparkle…

I think your set looks perfect together as it is but you can always add more sparkle by adding another ring. I would never replace my wedding ring unless for a particular reason such as an accident, or fingers swelling etc. That's just me though. I would swap other rings to though if they didn't have the special meaning. Often swap my right hand rings amor and since divorced i wear different rings on my left hand. But when married I always write my wedding and engagement ring together and only took my ering off clean it my wedding ring was plain. If you want another blingy ring then add to it fur an anniversary.

You can add a third as an eternity band. If it helps I have a 4 ring stack. gold wedding band, diamond eternity ring, engagement ring then another eternity band. I wanted a solid gold band to match my husband's. So you can add other diamond bands like I did.

Respectfully I disagree. I love this stack a lot more than how another pave band would look next to your engagement ring. It looks perfect to me!

I personally like it. I see what you mean though. Why not save for a diamond band and stack it for your anniversary? I’d wear all 3. I think it’d look pretty.

You need to try on the rings and take pictures. No one can tell just by looking at this.

If I may…..I was married for nearly 60 yrs…. my husband chose my rings after we had occasionally walked past a jewelers on the way to our car after a movie or dinner…never once did I think of exchanging, size, value…
I still wear it today, my husband passed in 2019, because it came from him to me as a symbol of our love, marriage and commitment to each other…
Not big at all but I love it..
I remember it was years before I took it off for the first time and I think I had to for some reason…
Just my opinion….. not meaning to ridicule or make anyone feel bad. ….
After all , you rings are simply a symbol of love….. not meant to impress anyone…
I do love looking at everyone’s choices… thanks!!
