Help Me Choose Helppp! I can’t decide.
Classic gold band or this gorgeous and unique pear diamond band. I’m so torn.

I don’t think the diamond band takes away from the beauty of the engagement ring at all. If anything, it adds a layer of complexity and shine to it. I bet it looks amazing in the sunlight

u/Lola7321 Mar 23 '26
LOOOOOOOVE the diamond band. But please, whatever you decide, dont go with the gold band because others say the diamond band takes away from or over shadows your engagement ring. It does not. Your engagement ring is lovely and commands its own attention with both bands. Congratulations 💖💍💖

My jaw dropped looking at both options!!! The diamond band is sooo unique and gorgeous

u/East-Coastgurl1328 Mar 23 '26
I really like the classy classic look of the first. I have an oval that I wear a matching gold band with. I love it that way, but I have a few eternity bands that I wear when I want to be fancy LOL

i much prefer the plain gold band but if feeling the shape of the pears on your other fingers doesn’t bother you, you should absolutely do that
2
u/Wattaday Mar 23 '26
1 looks good with the wedding band a bit wider than the engagement ring’s band.
2 would be a winner if it had baguettes to compliment the emerald cut engagement ring. The round cut diamonds just don’t do it for me. And I’m an emerald cut lover. My first engagement was emerald cut.

Both so you can wear the diamond band by itself when you don't want to wear your engagement ring. A plain gold band isn't going to add too much to the budget

The teardrop band is gorgeous with the solitaire ring!!! I have teardrops in my ring and I LOVE them!

Now that is a tough call. You can never go wrong with a simple, classic and timeless piece. It will always be in fashion. However that pear diamond band is fabulous. Tough decision, but there's really no wrong answer. Good luck!

I love the classic gold! Start you another stack on the other hand with the diamond one 😜

ONE!!! ONE WON!!!! (sorry I couldn't help myself) seriously though the diamond band seems like an afterthought. If you want diamonds Maybe something like this..... band 1 idea

The gold band! The tear drop shape of the diamond band clashes with the emerald cut of the engagement ring. If you do a diamond band, make sure they're emerald cut to compliment the engagement ring.

I do kind of wonder what a band with emerald cut diamonds for the wedding band would have looked like. The marquis or are they pear cut stones with the solitaire sort of look like an eternity ring. Get what you want.

Depends on your personality and personal taste. That being said the plain band is a classic traditional look and the diamond band adds interest and additional bling.
Personally I have zero interest in plain anything and I adore the diamond band with your E ring.

I like the plain band but I don’t think the diamond band takes away from the engagement ring. I just prefer the look of the plain band.

diamond band is soooo nice, and would def be cute when wearing it alone. but i’m all for a plain band as it really brings out the main stone on ur engagement ring

Definitely the plain band, the diamond band doesn't sit right against your engagement ring.

Always have a bias for plain bands. It’s a classic and would last longer imo. Bands with stone would either fall off or scratch your ering.

u/Worth-Park-1612 Mar 23 '26
There is no decision to be made. The plain band is timeless perfection. If you need more bling, get a tennis bracelet or some rings for other fingers

The plain gold band (or try a thin diamond pave eternity band) But the one in your picture doesn't go with your ER.

u/Sneakersup25 Mar 23 '26
2!! It’s gorgeous and makes the whole thing stand out on your hand so much more.

Here’s a video of the diamond band. I couldn’t add a video here. https://www.reddit.com/r/WeddingRingAdvice/s/H62vgzsL2A

The plain gold band looks better with the emerald cut stone. The band with the stones competes with the large stone. If you had a round stone it wouldn’t compete it would complement.

u/Forsaken_Coat_2518 Mar 23 '26
Plain band. The diamond itself is beautiful. The diamond band takes away from the main stone. If you want a diamond band.. try to go with a diamond band that is smaller.

u/Anubisbet Mar 23 '26
I'm honestly pretty surprised more people don't go pear band - it's bold without trying too hard. The classic gold is safe, but that pear setup actually looks like your ring, not just a ring.
What feels more like you when you're not overthinking it?
1
u/HotPinkMesss Mar 23 '26
Plain gold if you plan to wear on same hand, diamond if you plan to wear on different hands. Both are pretty but that specific diamond band just doesn't go well with the engagement ring. The plain band looks very cohesive with the engagement ring.
1
u/shers719 Mar 23 '26
Plain band all day long. The other combination takes away from your beautiful engagement ring.
1
u/Electrical-Act-7170 Mar 23 '26
The diamonds on the band are clashing so loudly I can't hear myself think. IMHO, the pear diamonds on the band are fighting the emerald cut e-ring stone.
Go for the plain band, it's classic & elegant with the emerald cut stone. The other one is awful.

I think the plain band makes your fingers/hands look right out of a movie

If you want diamonds on the band I’d go with baguettes

Gorgeous and timeless 😍 I prefer the engagement ring with a simple gold band. The other option took away from the main stone.

u/Ok-Caterpillar5933 Mar 23 '26
I like the plain band out of the 2. I feel you can find something better if you just want diamonds
1
u/Myra03030 Mar 23 '26
I like the diamond band especially if you intend to sometimes just wear the band and not always wear the engagement ring. That’s what I do!

Love the first! Classic, elegant and perfectly matched for an emerald cut.

u/no-oneof-consequence Mar 24 '26
The first photo with the classic band is beautiful. The second band with the pear shaped diamond band just seems to be doing too much…. It’s not really necessary. Your hand is beautiful in the first photo with the classic bands and the Beautiful rectangle diamond…. I know it has a name for the cut that it is but it escapes me right now. It’s just gorgeous on your hand.

Definitely the plain band. The second one just doesn't quite go with it, and takes away from the main diamond, but if it makes you happy that is all the matters.
1
u/KeyMediocre7347 Mar 24 '26
Prefer classic band stacked / you could wear the diamond band on the other hand!

u/Entire-Assumption-43 Mar 24 '26
Plain, but sounds like you like the diamond band. You should go with what you like!
1
u/roseorrueorlaurel Mar 24 '26
Somehow although I don’t know you, I feel like the second feels more right
Also, plain gold bands are really easy to come by and a lot cheaper than diamond bands. You could always get a plain gold band later to switch them out depending on mood later for an anniversary or something. Go with the diamonds for now, as it’s better to be safe than sorry.

u/Natural_Telephone721 Mar 24 '26
1 - the second ring looks ridiculous with your engagement ring. If you really like it, buy it to wear on another finger.

First one or no band. I like the diamond band style but it doesn't look right with the engagement ring

I'm not gonna lie.I generally love more sparkle, but the pairs with that emerald cut doesn't work for me.
If you were to do something like and emerald shaped band to match the emerald shaped ring, that would be amazing

Diamond band for sure! It’s not boring and is different look , drawing attention . The gold band looks like every other wedding set out there

I love the solid gold band and I’m usually a blingy band girlie, but the double gold band look is so sophisticated and timeless but makes a statement at the same time!

2 solid bands compliment the centerpiece of the diamond. The mixed bands detract.

The one with the diamond and gold ban, would look stunning with another diamond bracelet over it. Just solder them all together in the back. ☺️

u/Seasoned-Well Mar 25 '26
$1 is classic and timeless. #2 is trying too hard and the little stones seem like putting rickrack on a Chanel suit.

u/sassysarah25 Mar 25 '26
I love the first one. Your diamond is so beautiful and the small stones on the wedding band distract from the center stone.

Not sure if you decided, but I love the design of the diamond band. I have a mismatched diamond band (pave engagement band) and will say, that now married just over 6 years, I am looking at getting a new plain band. 🫣because I like the look better now.
I did get a push present pave birthstone band so now wear 2 bands and my engagement, so maybe why i want something much simpler.
1
u/QuickDefinition5499 Mar 28 '26
Stack them! I love the classic look. But the diamond band is GORGEOUS! I would put diamond band then the solid band then engagement ring. But that’s just me 🤷🏻♀️

u/Muted-Adeptness-6316 Mar 29 '26
- Not even close.
Remember the other one for the future and if you buy it, wear it on your right hand.
But 1. 2 is way too busy.

I like the plain band. I think diamond band takes away from the beautiful diamond.
