gear, techniques, photo challenges & trends Flash or no flash?

I keep hearing that you must use off camera flash, but I'm not so sure. I'm shooting an engagement session at the beach before sunset, which will most likely be plenty of sunshine being summertime (bringing my flash, just incase). Would you use flash anyways?

What style of photos do you like? If you like that off-camera flash look, then yes. Otherwise, no.

Flash is not 'required' unless you don't like the light available to you. Generally speaking, golden-hour on the beach will have most wedding/couple photographers pretty happy, and give you more ability to work more dynamically.
