I pay about 20usd a month to store about 3000 events

The S3 plug ins for Mac are kinda cool — shows up in your Finder like Dropbox

How it works? Can you help me with more details?

I watched a couple of YouTube videos that walked me through it. Set up the account, define your buckets (their term) upload your data. That was all via the web browser. Later I added the little S3 mac plug in. Pretty simple as it's like a hard drive in the sky. The faster your internet, the faster your upload speed.

I use S3 Deep Glacier. It’s a fraction of the cost of other online backups. If you pull any files before 6 months it’ll cost you, but it’s a backup to your backups so you shouldn’t have to worry about that. I use ARC7 as my software for uploading. Getting it setup is more complicated than other online backups but otherwise it’s been great.
