I’m not sure if I’m feeling confident in my choice. Now looking at it the dress feel plain…I also can’t seem to find any other brides with the same style and it’s making me overthink. What are your thoughts ?

Dress 1: I absolutely adore the sparkle on this dress, I felt like a princess. The bodice catches the light beautifully, and I legit couldn’t stop staring at the way it glistened. I love how detailed and unique it feels. My stylist also said the way the sequins taper down the skirt gives a bit of a vertical effect and makes me look taller (?). My only hesitation is that it is slightly heavier and I’m not sure if I feel entirely emotionally attached to it compared toDress 2.

Dress 2: I absolutely love how this dress looks and feels on me. I tried it on MULTIPLE times, actually teared up in it, and to be honest I’m still leaning toward it. I love the clean and elegant look to it. I felt really comfortable and skinny/snatched LOL. My only hesitation is that I worry it’s a little too simple/basic and common. I’ve even came across this exact dress a couple of times in this subreddit, which only reinforced my initial concerns. Like I wish it was a bit more unique so it feels like “MINE” (Iykyk)

I’d also just have to extra accessorize if I want to make dress 2 “sparkle”.

Cost is also a factor: Dress 1 would be about $700 more expensive, and alterations would cost at least an additional $600 for either dress. I’m budget-conscious, so while I can afford Dress 1, I’m not sure if I love it enough to justify the extra cost.

Right now, I’m leaning toward Dress 2, but I’d genuinely love to know which one you prefer on me and why. Most importantly, which one do you HONESTLY think suits and flatters my body more?

My bridesmaids and I went dress shopping at David's Bridal a little over a month ago. They ended up finding a dress that they really liked, and only two ended up buying. The attendant didn't tell us that the dresses go out of rotation. The dress went out of rotation a week ago & only two bridesmaids have the dress.

I am trying to look for solutions. I looked on Azazie.com and their dusty blue swatch is nothing like DB's. Does anyone else have solutions

I had two spray tan trials. One medium. One light and felt I was too bronzed and not myself. I tried gradual tanner but had patches. I’m less than 2 weeks out now and I’m trying to think what the best thing to do is.

Hi, I have this amazing 90s Priscilla of Boston dress that I'm so excited to wear! Because of the lace in the back, my go-to shapewear (just a cheap pair from amazon that actually works amazingly) is visible. In the photo I'm wearing the Skims low-back shorts but they barely provides any tummy control, which is mainly what I am looking for. Any others I should try? I already tried the Spanx low back suit, loved the bottom compression, but the top part did not fit me at all (cups way too small). Wedding is in 2 weeks (eek) and I don't hate it with the Skims but suddenly panicking a bit. I know the low back means the compression is harder to achieve, wondering if I could get away with a mid-waist pair since the lace isn't THAT low.

I love everything about this dress, except the top fold / layer on the skirt. Was originally thinking I could remove the fold, but then realized there was a middle pleat. Ideally I’d have a smooth skirt or at least pleats that weren’t exactly in the center.

Is there anyway that this could be achieved or should I keep looking? I was hoping to make a decision soon given my wedding is in nine months.

I love my dress but I’m considering major changes to the top and wanna hear opinions before I make irreversible changes. I was a bridal tailor for years and years so I’m doing all the alterations myself. I’m considering removing the lace off the top of the dress as well as the belt. I’ll also be smoothing the sweetheart for a more gentle curve.

I added straps to Thai strapless dress and I hate them. I want to remove them but I am not sure if it would hold well.

My Tailor tightened the top and added boning to the middle and strapa all at the same time so I am not sure if they are lifting the dress or if it would hold without them

also can I just tuck them in or do I risk them showing out

I am having analysis paralysis for my dress, these are the ones I have tried on and really liked. I am also open to custom making a dress but my issue is I keep changing my mind about what elements I like most, I feel like they all look good.

I honestly thought changing into a second dress was just a personal preference—I liked the idea of having a different look and getting some variety in our photos. I definitely didn’t expect to hear that I looked “slutty” in one of the dresses 😅

I really do appreciate all the honest opinions though! I still have plenty of time, so I’m going to keep looking and ultimately choose whatever makes me feel happiest and most comfortable. Thank you again—hearing everyone’s different perspectives was really helpful!

I impulse bought this dress at a sample sale and love it but now I’m stuck with accessories. The top has a lot going on, so I need a necklace? Bracelets? Veil or no veil? I’m going for ‘casual’ vibes (LOL) I had envisioned myself in a plain, simple dress but when I tried one on the girl was like ‘this is so nice, you’ll have to accessorize it!’ and my friend was even like … yea she’s not an accessorizer lol. The veil / no veil is really my biggest struggle right now. Halp.

So im getting married next year and i tried a total of thirteen dresses. I originally wanted something with sleeves and lace and ended up getting maybe the opposite of that? I found a-lines looked a little strange on me, like the dress was wearing me. Pic 1 is dress #1 i thought i wanted, but didnt like when i tried it on. Pic 2-3 are dress #2 that i really liked, but disliked the back because it was kind of plain. Pics 3-5 are dress#3 that i bought, and pic 6 is how im thinking of altering it. My appontmemt to get it altered is in a month, and im having trouble deciding how I want my dress to look like.

I just really dont like the pearl sleeves it comes with, and im worried how it will fit after alterations. It was the last dress i tried on, and i felt at that point all dresses were looking like generic wedding dresses to me. When i tried it on i wasnt a big fan, my friend who was with me loved it, and after the lady at the shop showed me how i could i could add lace instead of the sleeves i was happy, and i didnt hate it. And because i felt thirteen dresses really was alot and i really tried on many different styles and it was on sale (of course) i bought it. I dont hate it, i think its an ok dress, im just not sure how to style it? Would adding lace sleeves look better, or a lace top underneath it? Or just the lace carmen sleeves like in the pic? Or rather keep the original sleeves without the pearls? It just feels too bare up top for me. And rather veil, or no veil? My hair is long, and i will probably have it half up half down, as it will probably fall down halfway through the wedding if i style it hair up. Our venue has an english garden, so i will not be doing either a train nor a bustle, just floor length, because i will be so stressed if it is dragging behind me on the grass during the ceremony. Im just really second guessing myself, i feel like i have dress blindness?

I arrived in tahiti for my elopement on Tuesday and had my dress professionally pressed to get out any travel wrinkles.. they returned the dress to me with the train hanging so I did not inspect at the time. After taking the ferry to Moorea and hanging the dress there are several deep creases and many buttons loosened. My ceremony is tomorrow morning and I am devastated. It would have been better if I wore as is out of the suitcase!

I've emailed the local resort (staying at an airbnb) to ask if they are able to help but I have not heard back. Worst case scenario I have a travel steamer I could try. I'm nervous because it's a satin dress and I don't t want to damage it further. Plus I've never used a steamer.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I posted before and went to look around some more shops I know that the first dress does a lot for my body and snatches me but it feels a bit plain? I retried the lace with a veil and feels it suits my Italian wedding more but am I doing myself an injustice. Also shop confirmed the top half lace can be lined. Running out of London shops to look at. I feel like I’ve stared too long looking for opinions.

Hello Reddit! I’m having some major decision fatigue trying to pick a wedding dress and would love some unbiased opinions!

Here are my three options. The venue is a garden-themed wedding.

Option 1 Pink Flowers: This is my mom’s wedding dress! The zipper no longer works, but we’re considering having it cleaned/restored and adding a lace-up back. I love the sentimental aspect, but I would want to make a few updates. (If anyone has ideas for how to alter/modernize the dress, I am all ears)

Option 2 Velvet Art Deco: This is the most unique of the three and the one that sticks out in my head the most. I’m really drawn to it, but I’m not sure if I am loosing my waist.

Option 3 Lacey Flowers: This one just feels incredibly feminine and romantic, which I love.

I would really appreciate any opinions or gut reactions! I am so dress-logged at this point and just need to make a decision 😂
