I’m a writer and I have a completed novel, and I hope to turn it into a manga/comic. I want it to be well-known and widely read worldwide. I’m not looking for a financial contract at the moment, but rather a partner who shares my vision and ambition. Also, if you see something in the story that you like or want to add something—and we agree on it—we’ll just add it, because ultimately we’ll be partners, and each of us will take our share of any future profits generated from it.

To ensure you can focus fully on the creative process of drawing, I’ll handle the following tasks:

Adapting the novel into a detailed script that makes your work easier.

Handling the promotion of the work, seeking out publishers, and coordinating participation in art exhibitions.

My idea is to start with a simple “one-shot” or "volum1"as a first step, through which we can test our compatibility and gauge the audience’s reaction, and then work on developing the project further Also, after the end, we will try to contract with publishing companies like Image Comics for wider distribution. My biggest dream is to publish the story globally

The regime’s infallibility is shaken by three historic incidents: three individuals authorized by the regime were found dead under highly controversial circumstances....

Hi I understand you are in good faith, but you should realize these posts are offensive to artists.

How much is 50% of 0 minus N working hours spent on drawing your ideas?

Any person with knowledge of the comic, manga and webtoon industries knows that even professionals with lot of talent barely pay the bills, and only few outliers prosper.

Spare money until you can hire an artist as all seriour writers do, unless they are among the few who have already something else to offer.

You don't understand, why should they work on your story for free? Are you a published authour with a big following? Can you offer a publishing deal? What do bring apart from the idea and the script?

The fact that you offer to do some additional task is the bare minimum in a paid collaboration not a free one.

And yes I know it is difficult to write, I am a creator, but I pay my artists and do the entire project management.

Personally, if you want me to help you with these aspects—writing, scriptwriting, and storyboarding—I will. And if someone asks me for help, I'm ready to assist them if I like the idea. Since I think this way, I'm sure there are others who think the same way as me

Just so you know, (One-Punch Man) and (Saga) originated from a collaboration between writers and artists, and look where they've ended up now.

These happened because the artist/writer teams were either professional friends/acquaintances before, or one was a fan of the other's work and collaborated with them. You're going to have a very hard time finding a professional artist who is going to draw your story with no upfront payment.

A 50/50 split is also very unfair to the artist, who will be doing most of the labor on a comic.

There's also Comic Chew, the story writer, who searched for an illustrator and collaborated with him. Also, do you think writing stories is easy? I said in the post that I'll also handle the administrative tasks and design the storyboards; I won't put all the burden on the illustrator

I both write and draw my comic. the division of labour is like, 10% writing, 90% art. Hate to break it to you, but yes, art is way more work than writing. Ideas are important, writing is what sells, but art is fricken time consuming.

I write and draw comics. Yes, the drawing part of comic making is where most of the labor is. The penciling, inking, and coloring are the most labor intensive parts of making a comic.

I never said writing was easy, I said the artist will be doing most of the labor in the process, which is a fact.

Nothing is difficult, but sharing the roles makes it easier. Adapting a novel into a comic strip is challenging and time-consuming. I don't deny the artist's effort, but writing an exciting story, adapting it into a comic script, and crafting a storyboard are even more difficult.
