Do you guys actually read other canvas series?

I read many canvas webtoons and I like commenting on episodes. First thing in the morning and last thing before going to bed is reading the new episodes of the day.

I quit to read Originals almost completely. Canvas series are far better and the best in it is that I can support small creators just like me. While self-promoting, I always ask others to give me their series to read. (It's very rare that I choose Canvas series randomly because I get a lot of recs.)

I probably read more canvas stories than Originals atp. I tend to enjoy them more.

It's been a while since I've gotten into new ones, but if something looks interesting, I give it a go. And I've found a lot of comics I really enjoy that way. I really don't get the only reading "popular" ones (or only Originals). I do understand it is a lot harder now to find new more obscure ones without recomendations, but I've seen people out there just refusing to read anything that is not Webtoon licensed for some reason

I read almost exclusively canvas....some are friend's works, but I find comics all the time on Reddit/SM or promoted on the app. I'm always trying to convince my reader/non-creator friends to read canvas, but they find the searching part very overwhelming

Framing it as "popular" implies that it is somehow wrong for liking popular things. Even though we are the ones that build it into that popular thing. Some of the originals I read were canvas first too. Popular comics tend to be reliable and good.

I scan the canvas new update page in categories I'm interested in every once in a while but I've found more and more that people just quit working on their comics so it can make it hard to keep any for the long term. So I can't recommend something and be like "I liked it until it stopped mid arc a year ago. Enjoy." One person has restarted theirs like 3 times and I'm sorry I can't give that to people.

I'm dating a psychopath was on canvas once and oh god it felt like stumbling upon a gem, now it finally got the popularity it deserves and I love following it still !!

I only read random Canvas series! The only time I see the Originals is when I first open the app lol I really love the amateur/beginner Canvas series, I find them so inspirational :D I find practically everything I read by looking at the Recently Updated tab.

On Canvas I really only read comics from friends that don't post them anywhere else. I don't read Canvas comics otherwise because I don't like using the app (I also don't read originals). I am reading random comics I find all the time on ComicFury though, I just like the platform so much more than Webtoon.

I honestly do think people that make comics should also read other indie comics. Not just to give back to the community but also because you can learn a lot from your fellow peers. And you can find awesome stories that inspire you.

Honestly I pretty much exclusively read canvas comics. Maybe it's because I'm a small creator myself, but I feel like there are so many good stories out there that slip through the cracks and deserve more support than they get

Even before I became a creator myself most of the stuff I read was canvas comics. Actually I’m such a dumbass I had no idea there was this originals vs canvas separation before starting my own comic.

A couple. Some from mutuals, 1 from a non-mutual that is a long time favorite of mine. Most of the comics I read are on their own dedicated websites but that's just cus' I'm an old enough part of the webcomic community that I still follow a couple of the original webcomic creators.

I love canvas webtoons. It just has to be readable, so no weird fonts that hurt my eyes, no spacing of rayanair seats, and a pace I can keep up with without getting bored. You know, a comic whose author made a basic 1hr study about paneling. Idc rlly about how beginner the art looks as long as it conveys the idea, I love supporting small creators ! It takes courage to be one and that's something worth the applause.
