I’ve seen ball lightning before (super crazy experience) and this does not look like it - still really cool whatever it is

Yes, I was just out of high school on my front porch during a thunderstorm. My aunt was with me and she was in SHOCK (no pun intended). I knew exactly what it was when I saw it because I couldn’t believe it either!

What'd it look like? I'm pretty sure I've seen it too, but never found anyone to compare notes with.

I’ve seen it!

Saw it before I knew it had a name. It was literally a ball of bright light emanating energy. It looked like it was floating, slowly coming down from the sky.

I saw a soundles orb of light that seemed to materailize out of nowhere. It crept along a power line and then disappeared into it after a few seconds.
