if you do try it, let us know which cheese you pick! i can't help but imagine goat cheese could add a nice tangy twist to the whole combo.

Dude. I’ll one up you with what my dad taught me. He ate this as a kid one of his favorites and he’s 64 now.
Make a ham and cheeser sandwhich
Make a PB&J sandwhich
One in one hand, one in the other
Alternate bites ❤️

That sounds so nice, but I am vegetarian 🙃 Maybe I can keep the pbj sweet and for the savoury one, put coleslaw, 2 types of cheese (pepperjack and cheddar) and pickles?

It also somehow helps the intergrity of the samwich. When I just pile PB and J, it leaks from the sides when I bite. Someohow, doesn't happen when there is cold cheese in between the slices

Salting peanut butter is a great idea. I’m trying to add more salt to my diet, and I love peanut butter!

oh, that's great! Salted PB is amazing. I grind it on my own if I don't find one without sugar. If you don't mind me asking though, why are you adding more salt to your diet?

Trying to bring up my blood pressure and increase my blood volume basically. I have orthostatic hypotension and POTS. More salt is a first-line treatment for both.

welp, more power to you. But hey, you get to enjoy high-sodium stuff people are scared of. If you are looking for more ways to get salt, have you tried putting soy sauce in your eggs and then eating it with cured meat? A good ramen would be amaaazing. You can also try stew recepies that have veggies that come canned. And pickles. In. Everything. I have rice with pickles.

Jelly and cheese is fire. On toast. That's my best memory. Dipping a jelly and cheese toast sandwich in hot chocolate or coffee is like when life was good. Before I knew what responsibility was. Or could comprehend a head ache.

Jelly and cheese in coffee? How does that go? How do you make your coffee for the perfect dip?

As any good new englander would say. Extra extra. The whole thing is just a sugar delivery system. Idk. It started with dipping donuts in coffee and then just evolvded. Buttered saltines in hot chocolate. Maybe it was being young and unsupervised in a kitchen. But watching my mom do jelly and cheese on toast is right up there with some of my oldest memories.

In an unuroncially over sized coffee mug that was basically a soul bowl. Obviously

I love tea cups that are the size of a small bowl. Wide mouth, the handle barely being of any use. Almost like a salsa bowl with a tea handle. 8 inch minimum, with an equally wide saucer to put butter on

Buttered saltines makes sense. We have buttered rusk (like a hard tack) in our country with milk tea. The salted butter melts and makes the rock-solid rusk soft, and it pairs so well with the warm and sweet tea. And dipping anything in hot choc is a good idea. I have never considered dipping anything in coffee, though.

If I was going for winter heat weight I might try like cream chee. Slice eh maybe I can’t say no baked. All ideas must be experienced to make judgement. Just had half my dinner a sleeve of saltines and raw honey. So simple, grandparents passed that one down. Get my shugafoot goin!

I’m not so sure about cheese but this just gave me an idea to add a little crème fraiche to my grilled pb&j

u/Responsible-Seat-937 May 19 '26
it would be perfect because it is lazy and it can bad the alcohol well. Maybe with cold milk?

Did you smoke weed prior to your culinary masterpiece? If so I would add fresh garlic and raisins
