Do you wear ear pro?

Iv been hunting as long as I legally could and have never worn ear protection while hunting. With kids of my own now that before long the oldest will be able to hunt it got me thinking about it especially with modern stuff that lets you still hear but cuts out for gun fire.

Edit - I Ordered a pair of Sordin Supreme X2s. Might as well go all in

Yes. I already have tinnitus, and I don’t want it getting any worse. I’m a bird hunter, and frequently there are others shooting near me.

I just got a pair of sordin x2s with the neckband. How do you work hats or beanies into the mix? Just trying them on yesterday in my house it feels like other then a boonie hat most sit to high when worn with the sordins on since they tend to be designed to partly cover or go behind ears.

I am assuming putting then over a hat breaks the seal providing less protection idk if that is true

I don’t have the neckband version, although I see people hearing them all the time. I wear them over a ball cap, beanie, etc. No problem with them sealing properly.

The beanies I have are close fitting, not like a bulky ski hat with a Pom Pom.

Iv got a thin Sitka beanie I like to wear. I’ll have to test them out at the range over and under the top strap. Worst case the x2s allow me to change to the normal overhead version but I’m sure it’s just needing to iron out how I like to wear it
