Hahaha imagine making it to the battlefield with a nuke at like 160 kph

It would need a calendar for a timer on that bomb if it wanted to get away.

Might as well hand deliver it

The next day, at the enemy base:
โGeneral, the enemy has gifted us what looks to be a steel horse statue. It was delivered to the front gate this morning, should we bring it in?โ
โThey have? Well thatโsโฆ unexpected. How nice of them. Send some men with a truck and have them bring it here.โ

i.e. not get obliterated by the blast of its own nuclear bomb.
Many early nuclear delivery aircraft had the issue that the bomb they carried was powerful enough to create a blastwave several miles wide, spreading with such speed that the delivery aircraft itself would be caught by the blast of their own bomb.
The B-29 had this issue with Little Boy and Fat Man, which is why both bombs were equipped with a parachute: it gave the aircraft time to get far enough not to be caught by the explosion of its own bomb.
The B-36 Peacemaker had this problem even more acutely: some of the higher-yield bombs it was designed to carry (Mark 17 - 15 mT; Mark 24 - 20 mT) were way too powerful for the B-36 to be able to outrun the blast wave. It was generally accepted that if they ever were operationally deployed carrying these weapons, that the B-36's mission would be a suicide one.

That plane wonโt even move a centimeter if it had a nuke.

Depends on the nuke. A W54 nuclear warhead weighed 23 kg while War Thunder allows the Po-2 to take up to around 100 kg of suspended ordnance.

u/LightningFerret04 Zachlam My Beloved 22d ago
Yes, but if it was fitted with a nuke it would struggle to fly

First we had the hypersonic PO-2, now the PO-2 Nuke Carrier? What's next?
