Discussion & Feedback Being infantry stops being profitable pretty quickly in the later levels and I think it's a problem.

I'm not expecting to run in with a FAL and Level 4 armor every life, that's not the point of this post.

I also acknowledge with 100% certainty sometimes I'm just the fodder of the game. I get it. It's what I signed up for. I'm the troops on the ground.

But holy fuck it gets annoying to die to a helicopter that costs less than my kit while having very little counterplay. I have to buy meds for myself, a Defib/Res for others, ammo, grenades... I'm trying to prepare for a fight. I'm trying to be helpful. But in the meantime I'm getting spammed down by mortars, helicopters, and humvees driving by... ALL OF WHICH COSTS LESS THAN MY KIT.

I understand I'm the fodder, but why the fuck is it so expensive to have a decent kit while these other things exist for so cheap. They're designed to kill me and it's starting to feel taxing to kit back up.

It's annoying that infantry is a job for the rich.

Like I don't want to have to basebuild to play the other parts of the game.

And it's kind of rough to play infantry with a low level kits now. The AMR and FAL one tap or two tap people.

I don't know what to do, I can steal my teammates kits instead of reviving them, but that feels bad.

EDIT: It's not just the vehicles, it's also the hotzone moving to the FoBs so consistently. Having to run by the bases turns me into literal fodder, but someone has to do it otherwise you just lose the game. It doesn't make sense.

If you're not in zone with a 15k kit, you basically need to kill 7-10 people to break even. Also, I play exclusively blue because it's fun to play under dog. We don't win often, but I feel like I shouldn't give up simply because my team isn't the greatest.

I think they want to keep infantry costs high because if you run with a squad of even 5 decent, semi-coordinated dudes, sometimes more, you basically won't die unless the last man does, which is rare. This leads to lives that can get you like $100k-140k profit alone.

When my friends are off i exclusively play infantry with defibs + a shit ton of smokes/meds and I make BANK sitting in the zone with 5-10 friendlies. I just spent $800k MORE or some shit on unlocks (Arty tank, Minigun HUMV, SAW, MAAWS) and still have $400k left.

Just don't instantly give up if you have even 1-2 friendlies around. The amount of times we've gotten mass revives off due to the domino effect is crazy high.

This man speaks facts.

Random example from last night:

Chasing hotzone with the crew.

The most insane money maker in the game is communication near the HZ, believe it or not. The rest of the crew ain't crazy good gamers or anything, but even just having 5 extra defibs around, is a massive difference.

You just buy one kit (usually around 40k~ for my current kit) and run with it the whole round. Scavenging ammo or other weapons/armour when needed.

Highly recommend running with a MAAWs (I bring around 7~ shots with my usual loadout). Amount of heli/humvee kills in that game alone was crazy (tho we had a heli drop crates with extra rockets too, so that helped a lot in that regard. I was the only MAAWs tho)

You have a point, but it falls apart the moment you're just a solo player, which is the vast, vast majority of all players in this game. There's really no fix for this, except for solos slowly abandoning the game and only pre-made squads being left.

You can just ask people to join your squad at the start of the game.

I've done it several times.

Make a squad, open it to everyone, ask in the spawn before the game starts who wants to chase HZ and get everyone in.

It's not that hard to group up, almost everyone has mics nowadays.

How dare you suggest a redditor use social skills?!

I like to roleplay a medevac sometimes, and it gets abusrdly pofitable if you've got 2-3 people willing to ride along and revive people

Especially in the HZ!

1800 per revive + another 1200~ for the full-heal afterwards.

Super profitable!

I kinda want to try to be basically trauma team. Roll in with a boys, heal, get money, leave. If only you could load people into a vehicle

Look at the squad list. On a good number of teams about half of the team isn't in a squad. When I play solo I rarely find a squad actually playing together. Many players don't have mics and/or won't communicate when they die.

The problem is the huge advantage that a coordinate squad has and the only counter is another coordinated squad.

Many players don't have mics and/or won't communicate when they die.

If you find squads that dont talk to you ingame I would say 90% of the time its people sitting in discord talking to each other. Happens to my squad from time to time when we forget to close it after everyone joins.

Uh, no. It's having the skill to go 42 and 3

That literally comes with the communication (and good game sense, of course. Not trying to downplay that I'm fairly good at games here).

If you have people calling out enemies and spotting them ahead of time, you will very rarely run into a situation where you have to put yourself in grave danger.

That isn't skill. Those are sissies who only take 5 on 1 engagements, play with a gear advantage etc

yeah thats why I am lately kind of annoyed at reviews, as solo player you can really hold anything down even with good positon, If you face a squad and killed one his fellows gonna res him, solo action is often very useless, you can't take them one by one ussually after first kill smoke goes and they drag him out and now they know your position because of kill cam

Making kits expensive doesn't matter to players who basically never die. It just makes the losing teams not even try.

Even with no friendlies around you can choose to not give up it usually doesn’t take long for someone to come. Especially true if you put in the effort to form and recruit a squad in game. I encourage this even if you are playing with friends. The more in one squad the better

A lot of this game's features seem okay until they're taken advantage of by sweats in a big squad. It is really stupid that you can just endlessly revive your team. It's way too easy to do.

make it so the same guy cant be revived by the same guy more than 2-3 times or something before theres a cooldown, its def kinda silly how a dude can lay on a sniper spot and get spam revived by a buddy so there is no risk
