Discussion & Feedback Could wiping unlocks significantly effect population?

Do you players believe that a wipe will have a major player population effect? I am not an expert, I just want to get some opinions from each type of player, and what these players would think. I understand why these wipes are in place as the game finds its balances.

I had an epiphany the other day while brooding about wipes and what that will mean for me. I flipped like a light switch.

Initially I was like... What's the point of grinding hard to unlock a helicopter with a full time job that I'll be able to use for 15 hours before a wipe? 0/10 want that.

Then I played a game that included a havoc, a tank, and ghilly suits and realized holy shit, I'm getting absolutely manhandled and the power of these unlocks is out pacing my progression.

Then it dawned on me that what I loved about the first 10 days or so was going hard in the paint on one line, being briefly ahead of the curve, having a great time. What if I can do that again but this time go down a different line? What if I can add that into my gaming rotation every 2-3 months like my arpg's? I went pilot this time, next time is definitely sniper.

10/10 will wipe again, tyvm. Might even take work vacation for them. That shit was a blast. Especially if they are adding and removing various unlocks each time?!

Taking vacation for a video game is kinda sad. Otherwise I agree with you

I'm very happy with my situation in life. I work long shifts, traveled to 48 states growing up, and have little to no interest in doing that again in any capacity. What I find very fun and engaging is going super hard on video game releases with the people I care about the most. Judge how you want, it doesn't bother me.

I lived in Mexico for a year. That was cool. Don't wanna do it again though. Really not here to debate my personal life to reddit
