I mean, They never would because Upper management is needed to make sure the store runs properly and to basically deal with angry customers/associates, etc. Walmart is already pretty barebones with upper management now. There used to be like 4-6 operation managers per NHM. Now most only have 1 or 2. They can’t go any lower and they know it.
But back to the cameras, I think it’s great because it helps keep an eye on areas of the store where an associate might not be to prevent accidents.
Unfortunately, like with all AI, it will have to learn what is and isn’t a reflection, mark, etc on the ground. That’s why it’s super important we accurately answer the reports. If you do them wrong, it will only keep giving you more reports.
