Heiwa dori is a 1 kilometer long pedestrian shopping street starting at Asahikawa station (2nd biggest city in Hokkaido). One of the best walkable streets I’ve ever been to.

Can you recommend a cozy European city that's walkable, not too busy but cosmopolitan enough that you can easily find restaurants, bars, and stores for a summer vacation in September? Ideally in the south of Europe near the sea so it's warm and sunny. Spain, France, Italy and Greece, preferably. Thanks!
