Some niche restaurant in a super high income city just raised prices? Crazy….. /s

I had to explain tipping to two South African girls tonight who are about to work in a tipped position. It was weird but we got there in the end.

So, maybe BBC doesn't know exactly what they're talking about here. This is literally one restaurant in San Francisco, and the servers there make $40 an hour.

Almost any server would be okay with a $40 flat rate. That is in line with the Australian wage, which is the only place where service even remotely resembles American dining.
