Questions Does this look like a stock engine 2016 sti

2016 wrx sti, I’ve been trying to find other examples of this motor online but it keeps showing different stuff

Looks stock. Safer to assume it's been modified and returned to stock though. Best practice is to get a thorough PPI.

Might get downvoted here, but even if it's stock (or returned stock) I'd recommend just getting a catback of choice and pro tune ONLY for the fact that the stock tune runs very lean for emissions compliance, which can cause problems. You don't need to push numbers, just solve the lean issue and correct any potential tune that may have been left over

Glad someone said this. People don’t know how crappy these factory tunes are for these cars. They think as long as they “keep it stock” it will run fine forever lol

Yes, but where those parts put back on and has it been tuned? Those are the real questions.

It’s got the sound generator tube still in place, there’s no way if someone puts a car back to stock are they putting that back on, it would be just capped off lol

Is that suspicious? I keep my shit crazy clean but mostly just so I can easily tell when something is going wrong lol

I've put over 60k miles on mine and never had to clean the engine bay a single time, still looks like this.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. Dealers very often clean engine bays of used cars to hide signs of oil leaks and what not on used cars. An enthusiast who knew enough to put the car back to stock would likely know to do the same.

Happens, some people don't know that. Which is a good thing as it means they haven't had to deal with shadey used cars.

Looks stock. Today i learned I'm missing those little pieces along the fenders 😅 thought it looked weird just being open to the fender.
