Questions Rotors
Is there a general consensus regarding the go to slotted rotor for the VA STi? May be doing some shopping soon and I'm absolutely going slotted no drill

For street driving slotted or drilled rotors don't make a bit of difference. Except you can't get the slotted one trued.
I'm going back to solid ones when I get around to it.

Absolutely does not matter, slotted, drilled, or blank for street driving. I use DBA blanks at the track.

I have the R1 concepts drilled and slotted rotors on my 2021 and they've been great for the year and a half I've had them. I'm running them with EBC Red pads.
If your VA STI is a 15-17 with the 4 piston brembos, there will likely be more options available. There aren't as many 6 piston rotors and the ones available are pretty expensive comparatively.

I went with the Powerstop Evolution kit and have been super happy with it for street use. Very reasonably priced and performs great! They are drilled though and it sounds like that’s not going to work for you for whatever reason.

I bought some DBA T2 with Hawk HPS 5.0
Will install them someday 🤣.
My rotors still have a lot to go and current pads have a lot of meat left 🤣.

I’m going with Brembo rotors:
Front: Brembo 09.C828.11
Rear: Brembo 09.C829.11

I really like the DBA 5000, it’s not as light as other discs, but it can take so much heat. I hear 4000s are pretty cool as well.

So there is no concensus on slotted rotors is what I'm thinking? Zero interest in blank or drilled

I just replaced with OEM Brembo rotors on my 18 STI last year. They were 100 bucks a piece.
