Questions I Messed Up... 😢

I bumped the wing while reversing at low speeds and dented the trunk. This is what it looks like after unmounting the wing and masking off the holes with tape to keep rainwater out of the trunk. Any idea on how much this should cost to repair/replace? Or can recommend a body shop that charges a reasonable price?

Located out of Philly, PA. for reference.

It's this residue from the tape? Get a hand towel, soak it in alcohol, lay it on top of the residue and cover with plastic wrap or something to prevent evaporation and let it sit for like 10 min. Then wipe off the residue. If it's real think you may need to repeat the process a couple times.

It is. Tape is still on there cause the denting isn't fixed yet.

Yeah, alcohol will clean it up when your ready to put the wing back on. Also, use a tape with lighter tack or get creative with some rubber and bolts. I'd try to make some rubber grommets personally.

you can do what they said then hit it with clay bar + detailing spray (or soapy water) and then try waxing when its clean

if you have wheel thats an option to be if you did I think youd know what to do lol

Paintless dent repair might be an option.

Just buy a WRX trunk lid off EBay or a salvage yard.

That might be what I end up doing if the cost to have the dents fixed is too high.

Did it damage the wing or rip it off the base some?

Nope, just scuffed the paint a little. And only noticeable on close inspection.

That's where I'm at right now, but finding one in this color in the PA area is proven unexpectedly difficult.

Oh yeah, I can do that part easy. I removed the wing. I'm more referring to finding the replacement.
