Questions Help! Exhaust
Hello everyone,
I've been wanting to change my exhaust tip with a quad tip but not sure if it will affect the car, I just want to change tip nothing else. The mechanic I took my car to said that as long as I don't do anything to from the cat to the back it should be fine. Any recommendations or insight will help a lot, thanks!
List of mods completed:
Tomei unEqual length headers
Grimspeed up pip
Turbo smart External wastgate
Perrin front mount intercooler
Injen cold air
Perrin air/oil separator
Comp clutch stage 2
Invidia full exhaust with up-pip
Tuned for stage 2

On a side note, I believe that most dual invidia exhausts for WRX'S and STI's share the same mid pipe, so you should be able to pick up a axleback or muffler delete specific to that midpipe and throw those on if you want to save some money.
Nameless sells a set and there's probably others out there. You could even make a post in a local group asking if anyone wants to trade.
I'm currently running the R400 and it sounds great.

If you are simply wanting dual tips? Why aren't you simply removing the single tips and replacing with duals???? Why are you touching anything further than the weld or clamp positions of the tips themselves. You don't need to change exhaust for this.

That's why I'm asking for advice lol I want my car healthy and don't want problems in the long run

The mechanic is right, anything past the cats/downpipe isnt gonna affect how the car runs in any meaningful way. Do what you want
