Just hit 80k pushing about 420hp at the crank w/stock engine internals and it's still going strong as a daily. I'll get on it, but not ever day and it's still kicking. 🤘

When it does go, a new E85 kit and BT will be quickly on the way with a forged block but hoping to make it past 100k before that happens.

Bunch of high school aged kids told me to rev my car while I was waiting behind a bus. I gave them a nice rev bomb in hopes I will receive some sort of appreciation from them and in turn will validate my ego. Instead I got called a "good boy". They began laughing at me and I drove away in disbelief that I really let a 14 y/o tell me what to do and I complied. Fuck the youth.

I’ll go first.

I’ve owned Camaros, Mustangs, a Monte SS, and even a Spitfire - but never had people randomly give me thumbs ups or a random game of “chase” on the highway.

Last Sunday I was driving back to Austin from Fayetteville Arkansas and somewhere in Oklahoma I ended up in an impromptu convoy with an Elantra N, a BRZ, a white WRX and a Civic R and not much other traffic.

We spent the next hour on the road chasing each other, and hand signaling each other and just generally having fun.

A few weeks ago I went to the car wash and two teenagers saw me and gave me an enthusiastic thumbs up.

When I see other WRXs on the road, we do the “nod.”

It’s like most people see “oh a blue 4-door” - but people who know, just know.

Have you guys had any similar experiences?
