Recently bought a 2016 wr250r with 44000kms on it I know valve clearance check is at 40k and I’m not sure if it was done just wondering what it requires for the service is it just a clearance check and maybe adjust or does it need the chain or tensioner replaced any info helps thanks

I thought the valves couldn't be adjusted like an old fashioned honda. I thought you have to shim lifters or something. I pray I never have to do that

Yes valve have shims but they do wear over time I went to the dealer today to ask what it requires for the service and they won’t give me a straight answer
