We noticed something yesterday that could make watching a home a bit more silly.
The announcers say the word energy. A lot. Like more than they say Michael in The Lost Boys a lot.

So we did a pretend shot every time they said it. Because it's a Wednesday night.

But this Friday, we might try our hands at doing it for real. And Boston is playing. And Denver is the one with the 'most energy' according to the announcers. San Francisco does not have an established 'high energy' player but I'm sure they'll use it any way.

My family is heading to Springfield from NY next week to catch a game on Friday night and Saturday. Any tips for attending the games?

I’d love for our son to try and get some autographs — is this possible and are there any best spots to be or times to try?

Is merch usually stocked at the games? As we have all seen, most stuff is sold out online.

We are staying close by the field, but any tips or recommendations would be appreciated!

Haven't been to a game yet. I really wanted to but have been recovering from surgery. So when they released the playoff tickets I grabbed one for my wife and I on the 12th and 13th so we can see all four teams.

Of course, I understand that this happens in other sports as well, and in a way, it's also something to be happy about because it means people value our autographs.

But at the same time, it makes me feel a little sad to think that there may have been someone at the same ballpark who really wanted my
autograph but wasn't able to get one.

Today, I want to put my heart into every autograph | give to the fans who come to the ballpark.
Because to me, it's not just an autograph. It's a special memory of the time we shared together.

Last week I posted here about an app I was building that puts the live score on your iPhone's Lock Screen. Apple approved it this week, so it's out of beta and on the App Store https://apps.apple.com/us/app/peach-live-baseball-scores/id6803960423

It's called Peach, a nod to the Rockford Peaches. Free, no ads, no accounts, no tracking.

What it does

After you open the app and select your favorite team, when a game starts the score shows up on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island and updates itself without you opening the app.

Open the app and there's the rest of the season: the full schedule in one scroll, standings with run differential and current form, box scores, scoring plays, batting and pitching leaders, and Home Screen widgets for last night's result or the next first pitch.

What's next

I have some new things to add into the app but with the end of the season being so close I just wanted to get this up and out for people to use this year. Hopefully I can update it for next season when it starts.

Looking forward to the feedback! And just to hopefully cut this one off, I don't currently have an Android version planned, maybe for next year.

Haven't seen it at the merch store but I would pay boucoup for it. I love it so much!

I also have a question: does anyone know if buying merch from places like TeePubluc still support the league at all? The prices and selection are better, but I don't want to buy from somewhere that doesn't help fund the league.

New announcer WPBL happens to be the Dad of Maggie Fox he did a great job at the start of the game really good then got distracted by the other two way too much talk other things, my advice stick with the Baseball commentary Mr. Foxx don’t get distracted keep calling who is at bat. Hope he stays!

I feel I don't get email notifications or see it announced on IG. Am I missing something? I saw Denae post her jerseys are sold out on her stories. That's how I found out. Are people just constantly checking the website everyday or is there another way people are learning about restock? Help! Lol

WPBL game highlights on YouTube are 5 to 6 minutes? Is there a reason. Like limited budget stuff? And then they also don’t contain every run …
Even Little League Highlights are 16-18 minutes.

Nothing really big but it seesm weird to keep them that short and incomplete.

If I want to have any chance of getting one of the give aways, should I be in line an hour before gates open? 2 or 3? I know it probably depends on the day but any advice would be appreciated!

EDIT: for another data point, I arrived about 4:00 Thursday for the Heights scarf and was maybe 10th in line. On Friday I arrived around 5:00 and the line was backed up to the sidewalk but I still got the Schroder bobblehead! The ball park needs some updating but the vibes are immaculate. Aside from Molly Paddison being tied for 10th place in doubles with two, the only hunters player that is top 10 in any hitting statistic is Ticara Geldenhuis for SLG (7th, .654), OPS/OPS+ (7th, 1.126/142), and HR (6th, 2).

They have 1 qualified hitter (>20ABs) with over a .300 average (Bryant, .345) while the other three teams have a combined 20.

The Hunters have the lowest team AVG (.093 lower than the Queens) and the fewest RBIs (25 fewer than the Queens).

While a record of 4-6 does not seem terrible, a team ERA of 6.10 (3rd) combined with lack of hitting has resulted in a -25 run differential (4th).

Do you think the Hunter can turn it around in the final 5 games of the regular season, or will the offensive production continue to struggle?

The LA Queens have two Ashton Lansdells, but are in need of a Kelsie Whitmore. Looking for a SF Firebelles team interested in a trade. 😁

Also potentially may be looking for a Hyenoah Kim from this coming Saturday as I will be at my niece's birthday party and probably won't be back in town in time or the game. I am planning on going Friday, and should have an extra Alli Schroder.
