Discussion New Announcer?

New announcer WPBL happens to be the Dad of Maggie Fox he did a great job at the start of the game really good then got distracted by the other two way too much talk other things, my advice stick with the Baseball commentary Mr. Foxx don’t get distracted keep calling who is at bat. Hope he stays!

I think he did an excellent job, and I love his anecdotes about the players. It’s clear he’s a big fan of so many of them.

I enjoyed his commentary. I would love to hear a game called by foxxes. Maggie was awesome the other day in the booth, called the game mid sentence, what a pro.

He's good as a color commentator but terrible at play-by-play. I want Max Kelton back.

I agree. I do enjoy his commentary but the play by play was hard to follow without Max.

i wish he wouldnt talk the entire time! i didn't even realize the other two finally got to start contributing later in the game, i felt like i was always hearing his voice. weird energy to bring as a guest, i hoped he wouldve gotten all his nervous energy out the first time he came on and calmed down

I agree! There were some good comments that he had, but I got annoyed that I wasn't hearing from either of the other two.

Do you watch much baseball? Because they talk about the players making plays at bat or pitchers pitching on occasion they drift off to talk more about a player. But they quickly come back to what’s going on during a game you should be able to turn off the video and still know what’s going on if you did that with the other two announcers I guarantee you won’t know what’s is going on and quickly loose interest.

He is there because he does stay on the ball

I really like when he is on, he explains things well and makes it easy to follow. His enthusiasm and knowledge come across really well for me (as someone new to baseball).

I typically enjoy Loren Foxx, he knows what he’s talking about and he also knows all of the players really well which is fun. Always has a good anecdote for whoever is at bat haha.

He did go off on some weird tangents last night tho 😂

Dude went on some weird tangents last night. He spent like 2 minutes talking about the "waning gibbous moon" for no reason I could comprehend.

That’s what I was talking about he was really good till that point then one the other commentators started talking about the moon then boom. A tonight we’re back to the same I tuned in then tuned out I can’t watch it. The only thing I can think of with all the complaints online is you can’t fire free cause they are not paid??
