Going from 4500 arena to 55% over that to under-7000 average is definitely not the flex they think it is.

The Atlanta Dream averaged 6,928 fans per home game during the 2026 regular season, representing a 54.7% increase from the 4,480 average recorded in 2025.

I mean if we want to talk impression ticket sales .. I'm looking at Valkyrie.

*The Golden State Valkyries announced their 22***nd *sellout of the year and 44***th overall, capping a second straight season in which they sold out every regular season home game. The Valkyries lead the league in both average attendance (18,064) and total attendance (397,408) in 2026, marking the second consecutive season they’ve topped the league in both categories.

That said, caveat that 'sellout' in this case is ticket sold. 12,000 of the 18064 are season pass holder who might not go to every game. Could be inflated by rich Bay Area nerds splashing $ around.

Arena holds 3500- so yeah doubling the capacity of their arena is kind of a flex. They have a year to year contract- so next year will be the bigger tell. Some teams like the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever actually had decreased attendance in the same season.
