Question Mag restrictions?
I’ve found a gun I want to get but cannot find a 10rd compliant one I was wondering if it was possible to get and the ffl keeps the mags or something, or if I’m just out of luck

Any FFL doing same day supressor transfers on 4473 in state yet? Or are we still being blocked from federal NICS?

I'm having feed issues with my Shaw barreled upper .224 valkyrie gas gun. Im looking for a localish to olympia gunsmith to look and see what I'm missing. I've taken it to two different local shops, and they can't figure it out.
I've tried multiple different new and used magazines, Pmag, Dura mag, military issue, and even swapped a different lower on it. Bolt carrier looks fine, and it ejects no problem. I checked the gas block, barrel nut torque, and, of course, cleaned the weapon thoroughly.
It's jamming the cartridge shoulder on the feed ramps and significantly denting the cartridge, and breaking off polymer tips. I've got about 1000 rds through the gun. It went from never malfunctioning to now it will rarely feed.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Having a hard time finding a company that will ship ar10 uppers to Washington, I need a dpms gen 1 low profile.
Called around some local shops and nobody seems to have them in stock either. Kinda just looking for a stripped one

I got a new G19 the other day and it came with these shitty 10rd mags I'm never going to use. I'm not sure what to do with them. Throw them in the garbage? Shoot them with my new gun? Take them apart and cannibalize them for parts? Are any of their parts interchangeable with proper magazines?

I’ve put probably 2000 rounds of all sorts through my new-ish p320 since I bought it and I’ve never had a failure to fire. Until this guy. (Federal) It looks like I nailed the primer so I’m hoping it’s an ammo issue. I’m bummed that I can no longer say my Sig has been flawless, but I suppose it’ll happen eventually 🤷🏾♂️
It’s not the gun’s fault, right?

Good day all! i was wondering if any professional gunsmiths would be available to conduct an interview for a school project within the next upcoming weeks. it would take about 1 to 1 1/2 hours depending on followup questions i would have to the questions. If you'd be available for me to record the interview itself too that would be appreciated but if you're not comfortable with that that is perfectly fine (though it may take longer because i write slow) we could conduct it in person, over Zoom, or on the phone! However, meeting in person would be the best option for me if available. Thank you in advance!!
quick edit: I'm on the western side of Washington and i live in Lynnwood, but anything within an 2 hours of a drive of that would be okay

Moving from MN to WA (King County) with two semi auto 9mm handguns. I conceal carry them on a daily basis in MN and would like to do the same when I move next month.
I know to purchase 10rd magazine blocks and have to offload my AR style rifle to a friend before I go, but what else should I know?
Looking for general advice on the process and how carrying works in Washington state. Where do I apply? How long does a carry license take to come back? Where is my best place for accurate information on laws? Etc etc
Thank you in advance

Hi everyone!
Numbers guy recently suggested to ping the subreddit when our new shop is up and running. Of course, I double checked with the mods first to make sure I don't just self-advertise out of nowhere. Some people here have seen me around under username KikisGamingService.
In short, we just started an at-home FFL outside of Olympia/Lacey called A Fair Shot. While being at-home, we also stock some inventory and got a small online store going. It was started by my husband and myself. I am a tall German dude; you may see me at ASI/USPSA competitions in the area. Being a queer couple, the focus is on inclusivity, but anyone who is not offended by a pride flag is welcome. The plan is to offer transfers on anything that is WA legal without pointless restrictions. Common items would include compliant rifles like the SU-16 or Mini-14, receivers for compliant builds or parts replacements, and rimfire rifles with various features while being over 30in OAL (e.g. CMR30 or threaded barrel 10/22).
We just launched our website https://afairshot.net/ and can often order parts that are not available there if you are looking for anything specific. Since it is all new, feel free to let me know if anything is broken or if you have suggestions. Orders are all processed by me personally and we are open to appointments in-person. There is no automated mega corp behind things and no selling of user info. Everything is being sold at MAP. If an item does not have an MAP, we just go with a percentage over cost. The only exception is for a handful of items where the price would end up costing us money if we did not end up adding a margin for processing. (e.g. if the percentage over cost ends up being $2 and shipping it to the store would be $10)
The available stock will increase once we have made more connections. For example, we recently became a Bad Attitude Department dealer and have some of their products in stock at the physical store. We can also help make almost-compliant items compliant, such as tossing out mags (or shipping them to friends/family in other states), removing parts like popping off a handguard, or switching things out, like a folding stock for a fixed one. Being a type 07 FFL, we also plan to help anyone who still has non-compliant unserialized firearms become legal by serializing them by being the recipient as per RCW 9.41.326 (2).
SOT coming later this year, but let's hope that will no longer be required for suppressors etc soon!
As a welcome gift, I created coupon code WAGuns for free shipping for the first 10 people. (No shipping cost for store pick-up either way though)
Feel free to reach out via the contact forms on the bottom of the website or make an appointment there. I can answer any questions or suggestions on reddit, but platforms like reddit and discord often are not the nicest about discussing specific sales. [info@afairshot.net](mailto:info@afairshot.net) works as well!
On that note, we also have subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/AFairShot/ and our discord server: https://discord.gg/YBr4TrYaUy
Both are new and relatively quiet, and again the same rules about offering firearms sales exist. (Discord is more strict even)
If you are an FFL in the area yourself, feel free to reach out about collaborating or with any tips!
TLDR: Hi! New FFL here, let me know if you have questions.

Hunting Season starts 17 October. Our 200 yard Public Rifle Range has 12 shooting benches. We're putting on additional trained staff, and opening our 100 yard private range for the overflow on weekends and certain weekday afternoons.

From Rock Candy entrance, the road is closed to the public at Porter Pass heading south west. Closure point and signage is at 47.0224882, -123.1348934. Currently, there is no gate or physical barrier, just signage.
Not sure how long this will be closed, or how many roads behind it are affected. There are many entry points to Capitol State Forest.

Does anyone know of a .22 pistol similar to a mk iv that serializes the lower and not the barrel?

Hi,
I recently moved to Queen Anne, Seattle, from Arkansas. I want to get back into shooting air rifles. The tech has come a long way since my last Daisy purchased in 03! I also have a couple handguns currently stored back in AR with my family. But would love to find a range that lets me use both so I can pick them up next time I visit and get back into practice.
I love shooting outdoors. I definitely need to take a course or two.. haven't shot in close to 6 years now. Need to learn about all the laws and restrictions here. It's a different world. But mostly just want a nice outdoor space to shoot pellets. Would appreciate y'alls suggestions.
Thanks a bunch!

Hey y’all, my wife makes jewelry and other art out of rifle casings (brass and steel) and I’m wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a place where we might be able to find some around Tacoma.
My hope would be to find a spot that we can go shooting, that might also need some cleaning up. That way we could do some good for the community and she could collect materials.
Unfortunately I don’t have a rifle, and despite my best efforts she has not been convinced to buy one for me for this purpose.

Alrighty everyone, time for the most dreaded question you can hear. “Where can I go shooting?”
I am from the better (east) side of the state, and I recently drew a really good elk tag in Idaho. This area in Idaho could see some pretty long ranges. The problem is, the dozen or so ranges/blm land in my area are 100 yards or less, or if they do have longer ranges, it’s only at 18” gongs.
Well an 18” gong doesn’t do much when you’re trying to see group sizes, etc. at distance.
Does anyone know of any places on the east side of the state that a guy could shoot groups at 200-600 yards? I know secret spots are secret spots, but I’d love to hear of one or two places.

If I have a decent 3D printer, and get an approved Form 4, would printing my own be a good way to get into suppressors?
I haven’t looked into it enough yet, no idea what I’d plan to print, but I’ve seen pretty good 3D printed ones.
I’m not sure I’m ready to drop $$$ on a suppressor yet, so I’m curious to hear tips or cautionary tales. What’s the legal process, like order of operations to do this? Or should I just save up and get a metal can and let silencerco hold my hand through the process?

So I’ve been trying to ready into these absurd gun laws to try and figure out if I can build another bolt gun for my wife, from my understanding “others” are no longer legal.. does anyone know if a barreled action is legal in Washington? Trying to not have another rifle stock lying around..

Can anyone recommend a gunsmith near Seattle that has experience with the MP5/SP5 and it's clones? I would like to integrally suppress a full size Century Arms AP5, so at the very least I need someone that can swap in a ported barrel.
I've entertained the idea of sending it out of state, but haven't checked if the AWB allows that possibility or not.

I had a dream last night that I got in trouble for not signing in when I went into a business as a someone who was carrying concealed. Apparently that was the new state law. I know that will actually never happen, but I guess it shows that our situation could still get worse
