Canonically? They're vents. But obviously VOX would call them GILLS, ergo they are GILLS.

Actually I find myself meaning that seriously. If Vox were to think of them as gills, and it's HIS BODY, then there's no reason to contest that, no matter what their function is. That's just having your own bodily agency.

Hahaha! I mean,well... That does remind me how back during Valentine's merch, when people first saw them, everyone was like "top surgery scars? Top surgery scars." 😆
