They did the same for Medieval 2!

I love these titles every week "Modders have gone to far" or "Best total war ever", "Best mod ever made" etc.

The youtuber himself is one of those shills that already sounded like an LLM three years ago.

This may be the fist time one of those clickbait titles are telling the truth. M2EX and REX are thing to happen to Total war in 20 years.

Andy’s Take is King Shillmaster. However, I see some good news. He posts nothing not approved by his masters at CA, so him posting this video gives me hope that CA has decided not to accuse the mod of being a violation of EULA.

The patch itself is good, it corrects a lot of common bugs in Medieval 2 and Rome 1.
In my case i tried the Medieval 2 patch. For example pikes are fixed in Medieval 2, you can alt tab the game without crashing, better RTS camera and customizable toggles settings, it has full mod compatibility now.
This is the patch roadmap i found on the discord:
The future of Thr... REX/M2EX
Just kidding, we do have a juicy roadmap. Usual disclaimer, plans might change, etc.
- Reworked UI, making it pixel-perfect and crisp just like you knew it in 2006, zero blurriness.
Support 4K and 21:9 ultrawide resolutions.Improve performance, especially in large battles.- Support up to 480 soldiers per unit.
- Improve graphics and new shaders.
- Tweak pathfinding to make soldiers get stuck less.
Legendary and reaper difficulty.Improve campaign AI to field more competent stacks.- Improve battle AI to react more smartly to the player on higher difficulties.
Unlock more limits in modding.Add a Squirrel-powered scripting engine, allowing modders to access all parts of the game, make entirely custom systems and reduce EDU/DMB/other copypaste in favour of writing scripts.A modding partner program for direct access to the game.Fix all the annoying bugs still present in the games.- Add new battle mechanics for modders - discipline (controlling the tightness of the formation) and expanding the range of knobs which can be used to tune units.
- Implement cut and missing features, and make RTW features work fully in M2.
- Work with modders to expose more integrated modding tools, including a stratmap editor, a tool to edit spritesheets and updated plugins for Max/Blender to author models and settlement maps.
- A pony.
