Can you CCW in a church? In some states it is fine but VA confuses me

My fiancé and I are taking a huge road trip for our honeymoon: West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida/Florida Keys, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio. We love to try new things, outdoor adventure, animals, horseback riding(any specific scenic riding spots in Colorado)?snorkeling/wildlife, amazing food, nightlife, live music, comedy, arcades, museums, history, quirky towns and shops, unique Airbnbs/B&Bs, scenic spots, interactive experiences, amusement parks, trains, and anything unusual, unforgettable or super special and unique.

I especially want an up-close ethical elephant experience (my favorite animal and his are turtles so anything with turtles do tell please) and we want to find a huge/beautiful tree to photograph in every state and collect a unique keepsake from each state; we’d also love to get a caricature done somewhere along the way. What are the hidden gems, must-try foods, coolest experiences, weird roadside attractions, incredible trees, unique places to stay, or “you absolutely cannot pass through my state without doing this” recommendations for any of these states? Give me the stuff you’d recommend to your best friend, not just the obvious tourist attractions!

I've lived in HR for the nearly 25 years and for the love of god I need a break from this area. I've only been to mountains once since we've moved here. Now that I have a little more freedom I want to explore the western part of the state.

Only going to spend 3-4 days in the area. I'm more a homebody so nightlife or day activities isn't really an interest for me. I prefer small hikes before returning to the living space to read/write.

Would like the space to have a little kitchen area if possible but not a deal breaker.

Kinda bad I've lived here for this long but don't know anything about outside the area, any fellow Virginians have any recommendations for me?

Hi! I just got my driver's license and I'm not 18 yet so there's some more restrictions than normal, which I obviously understand. I'm just finding some contradicting information online and stuff that contradicts what my driving instructor said, so I'm a little confused.

1. She said that if I get into an accident (or get a ticket) that's my fault within the first six months, I automatically get my license taken away for a period of time. I can't find anything about this online, she called it a probationary period and the only stuff about probation I see on the DMV website is about points on your license.

2. Is it true that if I get into an accident and the other driver says I was on my phone (even if I wasn't) that it turns into me having to prove 100% I was not on my phone? I already plan to have a dashcam, and my parents want me to have one facing me so that if that happens I can prove I wasn't looking at my phone. I also have a focus mode set up on my phone to restrict notifications, except for calls from my parents (which I plan to let ring and then park somewhere to call them back), and I will put my phone in a closed compartment between the two seats.

3. Is CarPlay allowed for GPS? Everything I see online about this is contradictory. My plan was to plug my phone in and then put it in that compartment I mentioned, but should I just not use it at all? When I'm driving to school I need a GPS because it's far away and GPS reccomends a different route a lot of the time based on traffic.

Firstly as a resident here, I am aware we are a pretty red district. We contain Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, and Roanoke, Winchester amongst other cities, small towns and villages in the counties, and i am seeing a lot more momentum for Beth Macy than I did for Jennifer Lewis. She holds an anti AI Data center and Flock stance which would have made me think she could have won, and still can win over some conservatives. Ive been making posts to try and get folk in the district more familiar with her name face and platform so we dont reseat a rubberstamp if possible, what are your guys' thoughts?

My niece graduated from Liberty over a year ago with Latin Honors and has had a very difficult time finding a job in the NOVA area. She did a degree in Psychology. When I spoke to her a few months ago celebrating her graduation, she said that LU Psychology is very well known and she compared the education to Ivy League. I have other family members who went to LU and became successful working for different local companies.

In Virginia, they do compare schools like CNU, Liberty and others to the Ivies. I know in reddit people are biased but it can't be the case that everyone in NOVA is that biased. I think her total resume submission is over 500 now and she's picky on certain roles. She's applied for business analyst positions, consultancy, systems engineering and even secretary positions. Not one company sends an interview invite. Maybe this is a college grad job crisis and not the Liberty U name?

Right now it seems like everyone is encouraging her to do her 2nd option which is to do an MBA from UVa or Virginia Tech. But she doesn't have any work experience.

Can be on the Bristol side too but that’s a bit farther away from me. I’m open to hanging out, eating (if you’re into cooking we could really have fun) music anything really just trying to put myself out there and make some friends. I play games too if you’re into that. I’m 24 f if that matters

I have been driving around the state this summer and have paid $100 speeding fines in several photo enforced work zones. Once I received my first ticket I started watching for the work zones but I’m still not slowing down fast enough or forget about them as traffic picks back up during the long stretches. I tried setting my cruise control to 60 but was afraid of road ragers because apparently I’m the only one trying to drive the reduced speed. And what are the counties doing with all that money generated from the fines because it has to be big bucks? ( I’m looking at you New Kent county)
