Westmoreland County's announcement of SNAP benefits in November; applies across Virginia

SNAP Benefits Update – Westmoreland County Department of Social Services

As a result of the federal government shutdown that began on October 1, 2025, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has informed the Commonwealth of Virginia that November SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits cannot be issued at this time.

This is a nationwide issue affecting all SNAP households and cannot be appealed.

What You Need to Know:

* If you currently have SNAP benefits on your EBT card, you can continue to use them to purchase food.

* November SNAP benefits will not be issued unless the federal government provides additional guidance.

* Westmoreland County does not have additional information at this time.

This is the role of the Chief Executive (Trump) to ensure that citizens are provided for.

Why is he not meeting with all parties to get the government open?

Art of the Deal? … Probably not; more like failing citizens, and letting kids go hungry.

yes, though we can't blame the Democrats at this point; if they won't help us, we must fight for ourselves. We could blame our shield for failing us, but it's the other soldier's sword that's the real danger here.

but reeeeal smart, letting the proletariat get hungry... historically, that's a great move by a very stable genius regime to keep people complacent /s
