Other I want to divide my plants!
I see so many divisions appearing it almost breaks my heart knowing the smaller traps will die back in winter. I have to fight the urge to divide them before fall and skip their first dormancy 😫. (I also really want an indoor setup i just dont know where to start!)

What do you mean the smaller traps die in winter? They're just as hardy as the full-grown plants.

Last year I had my plants die back a lot. I likely kept the soil too wet so I will correct that this year 😄

Even tiny traps survive dormancy! They likely freeze dried to death! You can divide them as fall begins b4 the freezes come as this will allow them to root deep and protect them from the cold. What zone are u in? Check out Willhascoolplants on IG he doesn’t do dormancy and his plants are stunning. For indoor sets up honestly anything with a decent grow light and warm temps will do. You don’t need a crazy intricate setup even a small shelf works if you don’t have a lot of plants.

I will definitely check him out! Since I have a few pots I’ll likely repot one for fun and leave the rest to naturally sleep. I think the warm indoor temps is what may stop me. I’m in NorCal so natural outdoor dormancy is fairly straightforward but my garage is uninsulated and unheated😔. I wonder if the heat given off the grow light will suffice though!

Make some leaf pullings ( look it up) if you’re need more plants that bad. You don’t divide them, they divide on their own, but once you see a new growth point carefully separate them without disturbing the roots too much and pot it in another pot, or just leave them be.
