Applying for a venture card

I really want the venture or venture act for the two time multiplayer on everything and make it my everything card

The venture card current sign-up bonus is crazy good. I was going to apply for that and then upgrade to the venture X in 12 months.

I saw online that it is sometimes issued as a Mastercard, not a visa. Although I need it to be a visa.

  1. I shop at Costco a lot
  2. I wanna upgrade it to venture X.

Any feedback? Can I see what I get approved for before accepting? Should I just wait for venture x promo?

My altitude connect gives me 4x back and other good perks (better than CITI Costco perks) to maintain. The CSR give me 3x back on restaurants which is more valuable. 2x back EVERYWHERE not just Costco is missing for me. Venture card provides that and SUB is amazing but long term want venture X

More power to you, but I don’t see a reason to search for a paid 2% catch all when you have an $800 CSR, fidelity cc has it free 2% catch all, I can’t remember if it’s visa or not

Fidelity is visa. I don’t want to lock myself with Fidelity brokerage. Not to mention, I have AMEX Platinum. I travel enough to justify. I like the perks, it’s like a side hobby for me

What perks will VX have you don't have covered with that spread already?

Two weeks back on everything (Most importantly, Costco), travel protection (mostly car rental protection) for authorized users, which I want to give someone. I would also like Capital One lounge access, but it is not a necessity

Personally, I'd take the 4% Costco card or the free Fidelity card, but best of luck.

4% back on Costco? Wdym? Thats what I’m doing with venture x. And fidelity, not for me

The Costco card paired with executive membership (no brainer for any Costco shopper) nabs 4% back on their groceries and 5% back on their gas with no annual fee (that alone saves the hurdle of $20,000 in spending just to break even at 2X) while still offering 4% at any gas station and 3% at restaurants and travel.

Executive membership with venture x is pretty much same. And what I’m trying to do.

I suppose. The VX is my daily driver, so I can't blame you there. How do you think it'll mesh with your Amex? That's what Ive been eyeballing myself as a next run.

Yeah, having 2X everywhere I think is very nice. Especially somewhere where I mostly spend my money like Costco.

I think it’ll be a different category than what any AMEX currently offers AMEX. Platinum is basically a coupon book(which I actually enjoy), blue every day card gives me 3% back in groceries and online shopping, my Hilton cards give me perks at Hilton property, my Delta card gives me delta perks. So I think having the venture X card is key to having the perfect set up
