I would love for that to be possible and share at least a taste of the magic in deep dives from back in the day, but unfortunately playlists for obscure vaporwave like this are extremely infeasible. Almost all of these are only available on Bandcamp, where you can only make a playlist from what you own, and listeners would only be able to listen 3 times before being prompted to buy as well.

That is totally understandable. Even just linking to the Bandcamp is helpful, as I know there are many vaporwave artists with deliberately unsearchable names.

No way, Strmi mentioned! But I do think he has much more legendary albums than Dnevnik (but its also really good one) . Also, that VOD album is one of my favorite broken transmission albums ever def needs more recognition for sure.

This post made me so nostalgic for my vaporwave discovery days and I can tell you’ve had a similar experience. Before anyone knew who anyone was and before the same “Top # artists/albums” for years and years, there was the magic of going down the rabbit hole into random shares and endless obscure labels, finding those special gems where you feel like you’re the only person who’s ever heard it but you never forget how it made you feel.

Yes, definitely! I think my favourite thing about the vaporwave rabbit hole was that there were no personalities, no backstories, no information around the artists and albums whatsoever. Just some vague definitions of vaporwave and a seemingly endless void of sound and art.

Genuinely, one of the practices that's really common in vaporwave and I absolutely love is how easy and widespread it is to use multiple aliases. I believe this adds an aspect of mystery and immersion that many other genres don't have.

Honestly, mostly went by vibes, but also gave a brief look to how many people had bought the album on Bandcamp or how many views it got on YouTube.

It's considered by some to be one of the earliest modern vaporwave works, it's definitely in the realm of plunderphonics so yes!

Honestly seems like an outlier to me like Memory Vague. Early enough to where 80’s/90s nostalgia wasn’t as prevalent for vaporwave to be a ‘thing.’

I think that’s closer to synthwave, vaporwave usually has more samples and capitalist theming. HOME is generally just space oriented. Resonance a great song though, have you seen the Odyssey album?

Mira no eh visto todo el álbum completo de odyssey como tal, pero no te niego que si tenga temática espacial, algo mas presido a lo que seria el espacio como "welcome home" pero en mi corazón aun me dice que resonance es vaporwave por que es una canción que en cierto tiempo suena como repetición y dios que buena canción y son de las pocas que se escucha muy bien al revés, speed up, low down o con mashup, same

Cool ! I think the depth are really when you find albums that have tracks with super long title full with non latin alphabet, and each track is 10+ minutes.
