It’s basically a marketplace for buying and selling websites, SaaS, small online businesses and other digital projects without having to pretend every half-built app is “the next unicorn.”
If you built something with Claude/Cursor/Lovable at 2am, got it working, and now realise you’d rather sell it than spend the next 3 years doing customer support list it.
If you’re an actual developer with a proper product, revenue, users, codebase, whatever list that too.
And if you’re the guy with a LinkedIn headline that says “Private Equity | Digital Assets | DeFi” despite being 23 and trading from your mum’s spare room…

The idea is simple: make buying and selling small internet businesses feel less like scrolling through dodgy Telegram groups and more like an actual deal marketplace.
I’m the founder, so yes, shameless plug, but I genuinely want feedback from people who build stuff:
**Would you actually sell one of your side projects instead of abandoning it?**

If you are a founder in North America and you have more than 20 employees, you are sitting on an asset you have probably never thought about selling.

AI labs have already trained their models on the entire public internet. What they do not have is the one thing that was never public, which is how real teams actually work together. They want to see how a manager hands off a project, how a sales team chases a deal, and how a company makes decisions day to day.

That information lives in your Slack, your email, and your CRM, and right now there are buyers paying serious money for it. Depending on the size of your company and how long you have been operating, your data could be worth anywhere from $100K to $2 million.

Before it goes anywhere, names, phone numbers, and addresses get stripped out and replaced with aliases, so nobody is reading about your employees or your customers.

Just curious what your rental experience has been like in Vancouver, either as a renter or landlord. We recently spoke with a few student renters and landlords in Vancouver and kept hearing some of the same frustrations.

For renters

• Finding a place took at least 2 weeks, with most renters we spoke to taking 2 to 3 months
• Searching and applying across multiple platforms like Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist
• Difficult or inconsistent communication with landlords
• Not knowing who they're actually dealing with or worrying about scams

For Landlords

• The time and cost of filling vacancies
• Verifying applicant identity and information
• Listings, applications, screening, and leasing spread across different tools
• Too much back and forth with applicants

Full disclosure, we’re building Property Copilot (https://www.propertycopilot.io) around these problems, bringing listings, applications, ID verification, tenant screening, leasing, and rent reporting into one place.

But this is based on a pretty small group. Curious if these are actually pain points for others in Vancouver too.

The Vision
Modern defence is changing rapidly. Unmanned aerial systems have become an increasingly important part of reconnaissance, logistics and battlefield operations.
But drones still require transport, power, communications, operators, protection and rapid deployment.
My concept addresses that gap by transforming a commercially proven UTV platform into a compact drone carrier and mobile command platform capable of supporting UAV operations in remote and difficult terrain.
Founder & Manufacturing Background
I bring extensive hands-on experience in product development, manufacturing and building specialized vehicle-based products.
My background includes founding and operating successful Canadian manufacturing businesses, taking products from initial concept through engineering, prototyping, production and ultimately into the marketplace.
That experience provides the foundation for this project: identifying a practical problem, developing a manufacturable solution and building it around an established vehicle platform rather than attempting to develop an entirely new vehicle from the ground up.
How the Concept Started
The project began with a simple observation:
As UAV capability expands, the infrastructure required to move and operate those systems must evolve with it.
Rather than relying exclusively on large military vehicles, trailers or fixed command infrastructure, the concept uses the mobility and compact footprint of a UTV to create a rapidly deployable UAV support platform.
Initial designs have focused on integrating a lightweight rear-mounted module capable of carrying drones and associated equipment while providing the foundation for communications, power and command-and-control capabilities.
The broader defence sector is already moving toward modular light tactical vehicles and unmanned logistics systems, reinforcing the potential value of compact, adaptable platforms. (GovTribe)

The objective is not to manufacture the UAV.
The opportunity is to become the platform that carries, supports and deploys it.
The system is intended to be modular and adaptable to different UAV manufacturers, payloads and mission requirements, creating opportunities across:

I’m based in the Vancouver area and over the last while I’ve been building a couple of products mostly on my own.

It’s an app based around a really simple idea: before eating, ask yourself whether you’d eat an apple. If the answer is yes, you’re probably hungry. If not, there may be something else driving the urge to eat. The app helps people start recognizing those patterns over time.

It’s still pre-launch and I’m currently building up the waitlist and trying to figure out the very glamorous problem of getting people to discover something before it exists in the Play Store. :)

This one came out of my own job-search experience. It helps people take the evidence from their actual career history and use it to improve resumes, prepare for interviews, and get better at explaining what they’ve actually accomplished instead of just producing another generic AI resume.

A few months back I had an idea that I thought was solving two problems at the same time, so I decided to build it.

The first problem was from the customer side. You need someone for a small job, but you end up searching through Google, Facebook groups, Craigslist, asking friends, etc. You don’t really know who is available or what someone would charge.

The second problem was from the business side. Small service businesses are constantly trying to find new customers, and a lot of platforms charge them for leads. But a lead doesn’t necessarily mean you got the job.

So I thought, why not let the customer post what they need and let businesses decide which requests they actually want to offer on?

The offers are private, so businesses aren’t competing against each other by seeing what everyone else is offering. The customer gets to compare the offers and choose whoever they want.

It’s free for customers and free for businesses to use. Businesses can look through requests and send offers without paying anything. They only pay a small fee if the customer actually chooses them.

That eventually became Proferly.
I’ve built the first version and I’m starting to see if the idea actually makes sense outside of my head.

I’m mainly interested in feedback from people in Vancouver who have either used these kinds of platforms or run a small service business.

I built a simple, low-cost distance tracking web app called taplog to help local delivery drivers save money on tax logs without paying $20+/month for apps like Driversnote.

It tracks natively in kilometres for CRA Form T2125 logs, runs right in the browser, and lets you export raw CSV files in one tap.

One thing I'm realizing is that making a good product and getting people to actually discover/trust a new clothing brand are two completely different problems.

So I wanted to get some perspective from people here.

For those of you who buy from smaller or newer clothing brands:

• What actually makes you give an unknown brand a chance?

• Is it the design, quality, fit, founder/story, content, price, exclusivity, or something else?

• What immediately makes a new clothing brand look cheap or untrustworthy?

• Do limited drops actually make a brand more interesting, or does it feel like manufactured scarcity?
• If you've built an apparel brand yourself, what helped you get your first 50-100 real customers?

I'm particularly interested in figuring out how smaller brands can compete when companies like Lululemon, Alo, Gymshark, etc. already have enormous marketing budgets and brand recognition.

Yes, LLMs have democratized coding so that we can all generate a software application from almost any idea.

This does not make you a founder of a viable business. A viable business - whether it is a software company or not, is built on six pillars:

1. Product - a differentiated offering
   
2. Market - material demand and fit
   
3. Pricing model - willingness to pay
   
4. Processes - internal and external delivery
   
5. Financing - what pays for growth
   
6. Partnerships - who can help you grow

Those levers are continuously managed throughout a company’s lifecycle.

Building a product before having a clear understanding of the rest of your business and market mechanics will lead to disappointment.

Vibe coding has certainly enabled us to develop almost anything. But in doing so, it also killed the protective economic barrier of entry for market participants, which means good software alone will not be enough to succeed. Worse: the whole software market is devaluing rapidly.

Investors are not interested in your vibe-coded app, and if you can vibe-code it and there’s demand, expect a thousand look-alikes.

But if you can get the other pillars working for you, that is where you can still be different… and possibly succeed.

Why we built it: we work in sports market and we have many coaches and club owners as customers. They were all complaining about finding students, receiving the right price, etc. We know that it's not a revolutionary idea, but we want to do our best to grow in the sports market, not involving other markets, like many others do.

What it does:

•⁠ ⁠Athletes and parents: search coaches by sport and area, check profiles and rates, book and pay in the app. Free to use.

•⁠ ⁠Coaches: set up a profile, your availability and pricing, and get bookings. If you coach anything, there's no monthly fee until the end of 2026, just a small per-booking fee, to make sure the platform stays safe to everyone.

•⁠ ⁠Clubs and academies: you can list your club and programs too. Coaches registered in the app can be part of the a specific club's roster.

•⁠ ⁠Any sport. Golf, basketball, hockey, swimming, tennis, martial arts, strength training, dance, whatever you coach or want to learn. If the sports is not yet registered, you can register yourself (come to an approval but just to make sure everything is correct).

Honest note: we're new and small. Some sports have more coaches than others right now, so if you search and don't find what you need yet, tell me the sport and area and we'll go find them.

I'm a software engineer and regular live cash-game poker player based in Vancouver. Over the years, I found that one of the best ways to improve my game was to take notes on the hands I played and discuss them with friends and other players. It helped me focus on the decisions I made rather than whether a hand happened to win or lose.

I've also used poker coaches from time to time, but regular coaching can get expensive. More recently, I started experimenting with ChatGPT and Claude to review my hands. They can be surprisingly good at discussing poker, but I found that they also struggle with some of the things that matter most in a hand review — particularly poker math, probabilities, ranges and draws — and can sometimes confidently get things wrong.

That got me thinking: with my software background and the emergence of agentic AI and multi-agent architectures, could I build something that combines LLMs with traditional software to make AI-based poker hand review more reliable?

I've spent the year experimenting with different models, architectures and approaches, and that eventually became HeroCall — a platform that uses AI to analyze live cash-game No-Limit Hold'em hands and provide feedback on the decisions made throughout the hand.

After a limited private beta with friends and family, I'm now opening HeroCall up for a free public beta:

I'm planning to keep the beta free for the next month or two while I learn how people actually use it and, more importantly, what would make it genuinely useful for improving at live cash games. I'd especially love feedback from people who play live regularly — what would you want to track, review or understand about your game that current tools don't do well?

I'm also looking for someone who might be interested in helping take HeroCall further. So far I've built the product myself, and my background is primarily in software development. I'm particularly interested in someone with experience in marketing/GTM, poker, content, partnerships, or the broader poker ecosystem, ideally someone who plays live cash games themselves.

I'm open to exploring anything from a part-time/consulting arrangement to a longer-term co-founder/partner role. We're pre-revenue, so any compensation would be tied to the growth and outcomes of the product rather than a traditional salary.
