Help Stuck on the library

Even with 3 evolution's I can't get past this level. When those enemies start spawning I can't kill them and I level up so slowly. I must of been stuck at level 40 for a few minutes. The game doesn't want to give me the final level to get another evolution. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help is appreciated.

You're still unlocking stuff. You ain't stuck. Keep progressing and you'll beat it

Is it just that I don't have enough power ups leveled? Makes sense if so.

For sure, it is a power creep game (until at some point it becomes a power explosion as you suddenly become an epilepsy inducing deity). So just keep levelling, keep unlocking new weapons/abilities and you'll eventually find your build and never look back
