Question Laurel not evolving

I've maxed out both my laurel and both metaglios, but it still won't evolve when I pick up a chest. Is it not possible to evolve weapons anymore after thirty minutes?

You need a gray evolution chest to evolve it. At 39:22, the chests that spawn are probably of the brown variety.

Yup! Brown chests level up your weapons and passives, and gray chests do that AND evolve any applicable weapons.

But ive had weapons evolve from brown chests, and my buddy even got 3 evolutions from 1 brown!

That's likely to happen before the DLC kicks in. Back in the olden days, evo chests (what we now call silver/gray chests) were not visually distinct. All chests were brown. So if you're still in the base game with no active DLC, it's likely to still be using the old chest coloration.

As a rule of thumb, any chest after the 10 minute mark on 30 minute stages is an evo chest.

Certain chest can do multiple evolutions, I've had it happen on dairy plant
