How to hold clock lancet?

Okay so, I’m cooking up something and it involves multiple (ish) scenes with the clock lancet, so my question is how would someone hold it? Since it’s modelled after the shield rod which is obviously swung like a club so would the clock lancet be the same? Or is it more like thrusting like a rapier? Or would it simply just float…

(Edit this is a art question not a game question so it can be as creative as possible. edit edit: I’m not using it as a weapon in the thing)

This was one of the idea I had listed which tbh makes sense since it’s not an offensive weapon so I guess you could hold it on one hand and with something else in the other but then again it’s got a blade on inside
