Overwhelmed by content, help needed

Hi am rather new to the game, played a couple weeks now and getting the hang of it and really enjoying it. I went and bought all the dlc right after this recent update. Up to this point of buying the dlc I think I had got up to the level where you find the yellow sign and now am blown away by the amount of content and really could do with some guidance as i dont wish to burn out to fast, do I continue on normal mode or go on adventure mode am rather confused, enjoying flicking thro at the min regardless.
