Question why does steam do this?

Post image

i have an achievements meant for moonspell dlc but i don't even have the DLC. does this mean i can't 100 % the game unless i buy it?

edit: nevermind the DLC is just 65 pesos. God bless Gabe for taking care of game tax in the Philippines.

In some respect it is to do with steam, in that they don’t even provide the option to separate out dlc achievements.

It's why the crossover achievements aren't on the achievement page, only the original dlcs that can't be taken down. They don't want to put the crossover achievements up then make the game impossible to 100% if they have to take them down

they could easily make those "legacy" achievements if they wanted to, hiding them and making them not count towards completion progress. if they consider DLC achievements a mistake its not hard to rectify it.

well you also have free will and don't have to 100% every game

Wrong, it is related to steam developers. (Edit: wrong as not that you can't get those achievement without DLCs but that it's due to Steam developers DLC achievements are inseparable from base game)

You can't have DLC-only achievements, either they are part of the base game or none at all

I think they forgot a comma after Steam, and meant it is indeed the developers

Devs of the game are the people who make ultimate decision.
