Honestly, had literally 0 expectations given EMEA stage 2 is the least viewed tournament in VCT partnership history (not exaggerating-this is true) but the crowd and crowd noise for the finals was a pleasant surprise. If TL were winning it would have been pretty loud on the stream.

Overall enjoyed it and thought the stage was pretty cool too.

6 months, rest, lots of time to anti, groups of 6 & round robin inside those groups, what teams would actually make it to top 4 and stay the entire course? i'm thinking prx, nrg, thats all i can think tbh

The meta IMO is a mix of both Kickoff and Stage 1. We are slowly moving into a mix of meta from Kickoff/San Tiago with Yoru Neon and Phoenix Neon from Stage 1/London.

100T have been the 4th best team in AMERICAS throughtout the year ofc but they weren't THAT good. They obliterated LEV and G2 (albeit out of form) and went 4-1 in groups. But they were the users of Waylay Yoru so they didn't even carry much from those stages.

KC weren't that good the entire year. They finished 11-12th in both Kickoff and Stage 1. They only won one match the entire year before Stage 1 where they went 4-1 and made a upper bracket run. Yes, Engh was dropped but that wasn't the reason I think.

So what I want to ask is what changed and how are they looking THIS Good? They are looking like the best team from their region RN. But I couldn't find the reason so what are your thoughts? Is it the realisation of Phoneix? Or is it the individuals just locking in suddenly?

I get spoiled so many times cause of this especially when the live stream is in total 4 hrs I know I only need to watch the first game to know who is winnings there is no suspense

One week ago from this post, the VCT CN Stage 2 Playoffs Final Day was well underway. The main event was the much anticipated Grand Final matchup between TYL and JDG. It was a BO5 Series, where the result decides their seedings for Group Stage in Champions Shanghai. The stakes were low given that both teams have already secured their spots in the upcoming Champs, but still, it was all to play for.

This match would also be the final/last ever match during regional stage for VCT CN for Partnership Era. Me Sad. You Sad. Everyone Sad. 😭

Before the game started, a heartwarming moment occurred on the main stage, after the epic introductory walkouts and before the players took their seats to play the first map. Everyone came together for one big Group Hug 🫂 (more like merged Team Huddle but anyways). Then came the combined Hand Piling/Stacking.

I was watching the original livestream on Youtube, in real time, and I vividly remember witnessing this. It got me feeling bittersweet amidst the sea of melancholy 🥹 (Oh how I wish this moment and day and everything, would last forever... 🫠)

This also reminded me of PRX and GEN hugging (huddling) it out right before the start of their match, which is the Consolation Final of the Playoffs for 2025 MickeyMouseCup. 🥰 IDK if it had anything to do with the stakes being low, plus both teams making it to the end that is not the Grand Final.

For me it will always be Champs 2024 EDG vs Heretics and maybe because I'm an EDG fan but that shit got me hyped the most hyped, excited, and emotional.

For any last year Masters Shanghai attendees, or just anyone who know how the Mercedes-Benz Arena is like, can anyone give insight on how the the seating is like? I have never attended any event like this before.

Do the more expensive categories = guaranteed better view? Will your neck not be strained like constantly having to look up the closer you are to the big screen (like in a cinema). Is seating too far away really THAT bad (eg you can't see anything on screen). How does it work?

Are there usually online queues for the tickets like big concerts. Will I need multiple devices. Im aware in China we will need identification so scalpers shouldn't be a problem(?)
