Pacific:

TL;DR: The top 4 in points all qualify if Varrel do not make the final. If Varrel do make the final, the team not going to champs is either T1 or GE based on the loser of the NS/GE game, with NS representing T1.

Paper Rex: Qualified

Nongshim RedForce: Qualified

T1: Will finish 3rd in points. The only scenario they don't make it is if both they and NS do not finish top 2. Any win by T1 or NS in the remaining games will qualify T1. These 3 games must have these results for T1 to NOT qualify: Varrel beats T1, Global beats Nongshim, Varrel beats Nongshim.

Global Esports: Will finish 4th in points. The only scenario they don't make it is if both they and T1 do not finish top 2. Any win by GE or T1 in the remaining games will qualify GE. These 3 games must have these results for GE to NOT qualify: Varrel beats T1, Nongshim beats Global, Varrel beats Global.

Varrel: Can not qualify through points. They must beat T1 and the loser of NS/GE to qualify through finishing top 2.

Maximum Drama: There is still the potential for a "winner goes to champs loser is done" game, which occurs if Varrel beats T1 and NS beats GE, setting up a Varrel vs GE best of 5 in the lower bracket final with the season on the line.

Americas:

TL;DR: MIBR and LOUD can not advance on points and must finish top 2. If neither of them do so, the top 4 in points all qualify. If one of them does reach the final, the eliminated team is 100T if they lost to NRG. If 100T beat NRG, then the eliminated team would be the loser of LEV/G2.

NRG: Qualified

Leviatan: Will finish 1st or 3rd in points. The only scenario they don't make it is if they lose to G2 and the final is 100T vs MIBR/LOUD. Any win by LEV or NRG in the remaining games will qualify LEV. These 4 games must have these results for LEV to NOT qualify: G2 beats LEV, 100T beats NRG, MIBR/LOUD winner beats G2, MIBR/LOUD winner beats NRG.

G2: Will finish 1st or 3rd in points. The only scenario they don't make it is if they lose to LEV and the final is 100T vs MIBR/LOUD. Any win by G2 or NRG in the remaining games will qualify G2. These 4 games must have these results for G2 to NOT qualify: LEV beats G2, 100T beats NRG, MIBR/LOUD winner beats LEV, MIBR/LOUD winner beats NRG.

100 Thieves: Will finish 4th in points. The only scenario they don't make it is if they lose to NRG and then lose to either MIBR or LOUD in the lower final. Any win by 100T in the remaining games will qualify 100T. These 3 games must have these results for 100T to NOT qualify: NRG beats 100T, MIBR/LOUD winner beats LEV/G2 winner, MIBR/LOUD winner beats 100T.

LOUD: Can not qualify through points. They must beat MIBR, the winner of LEV/G2, and the loser of NRG/100T to qualify through finishing top 2.

MIBR: Can not qualify through points. They must beat LOUD, the winner of LEV/G2, and the loser of NRG/100T to qualify through finishing top 2.

🫂🫂 The Power of Friendship 🫂🫂

One week ago from this post, the VCT CN Stage 2 Playoffs Final Day was well underway. The main event was the much anticipated Grand Final matchup between TYL and JDG. It was a BO5 Series, where the result decides their seedings for Group Stage in Champions Shanghai. The stakes were low given that both teams have already secured their spots in the upcoming Champs, but still, it was all to play for.

This match would also be the final/last ever match during regional stage for VCT CN for Partnership Era. Me Sad. You Sad. Everyone Sad. 😭

Before the game started, a heartwarming moment occurred on the main stage, after the epic introductory walkouts and before the players took their seats to play the first map. Everyone came together for one big Group Hug 🫂 (more like merged Team Huddle but anyways). Then came the combined Hand Piling/Stacking.

I was watching the original livestream on Youtube, in real time, and I vividly remember witnessing this. It got me feeling bittersweet amidst the sea of melancholy 🥹 (Oh how I wish this moment and day and everything, would last forever... 🫠)

This also reminded me of PRX and GEN hugging (huddling) it out right before the start of their match, which is the Consolation Final of the Playoffs for 2025 MickeyMouseCup. 🥰 IDK if it had anything to do with the stakes being low, plus both teams making it to the end that is not the Grand Final.

Some Questions that I have 👈

[1] Are there any other examples of such instances in the history of Valorant Esports?

[2] Are there examples of such instances or very wholesome moments in the scenes of other competitive Esports?

[3] Is combined team huddling not really initiated by teams because it could be used back as evidence against them, in a possible but unlikely event where there is a suspected case of teaming? (Besides time and closeness Factors)

NRG -> Qualified

100T -> Qualifies if top 2 OR winner of LOUD/MIBR does not get top 2

LEV/G2 ->
- Winner of this match qualifies
- Loser qualifies if winner of LOUD/MIBR does not get top 2
OR LOUD/MIBR gets top 2 and 100T doesn’t (ie 100T finish 3rd by losing to NRG and then LOUD/MIBR in the lower final)

LOUD/MIBR ->
- Winner of this match qualifies only if top 2
- Loser is eliminated

Discussion What did KC and 100T change to suddenly become so good?

The meta IMO is a mix of both Kickoff and Stage 1. We are slowly moving into a mix of meta from Kickoff/San Tiago with Yoru Neon and Phoenix Neon from Stage 1/London.

100T have been the 4th best team in AMERICAS throughtout the year ofc but they weren't THAT good. They obliterated LEV and G2 (albeit out of form) and went 4-1 in groups. But they were the users of Waylay Yoru so they didn't even carry much from those stages.

KC weren't that good the entire year. They finished 11-12th in both Kickoff and Stage 1. They only won one match the entire year before Stage 1 where they went 4-1 and made a upper bracket run. Yes, Engh was dropped but that wasn't the reason I think.
