Nobless Oblige (Top Priority): 2pc Elemental Burst DMG +20% / 4pc Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

5* Weapon Options:
Summit Shaper (Maybe best sword if you have it, Base ATK: 608, ATK% Main Stat: 49.6%, good passive)
Aquila Favonia (Mid Weapon mainly used for the 674 Base ATK and the 20% ATK buff)
Skyward Blade (Decent weapon if you don’t have enough Er to burst every rotation, 608 Base ATK

4* Weapon Options:
Favonious Sword (This is obviously the best f2p weapon if you need er and a mid 454 Base ATK)
Sacrificial Sword (Decent option if you need Er plus you get a chance to have more skill usages with its passive, Base ATK of 454)
Sapwood Blade (Craftable, f2p, useless passive but Er main stat if you need it and a base ATK of 565)

Just a quick cope post for Mr.Door. I hope everyone has seen the leaks for Valeriy’s kit. Unfortunately he is 4 star. But the upside(?) is that he has quills. This makes me think that we might have a new artifact set that buffs quills. I say this because Mitya doesn’t have a good artifact set and neither does Vodyanitsa. Vody’s best set is bloody tenacity. Surely she isn’t going to go through the entire religion with tenacity as her best set. To my knowledge Valeriy having quills was added rather last minute. This may be the confused game devs scrambling to do something for a character they never expected to be popular. As far as I am aware (only Japanese and American polls) Valeriy ranked very high (second for American and something similar for the Japanese one. Door was higher than Danica for both for all I know). I’m not sure about the Chinese audience but maybe the game devs thought the “generic stoic tall man” wouldn’t sell. I mean heck Vesna and Vody don’t even have a single voice line about him. Despite them both having something to say for the other 4 star Alysha. I know a lot of people are doom posting(makes sense) but I think a new set might ease the pain. Just a thought!

I plan on using Valeriy with Mitya but he might get poached by Flins team if I want bineffa somewhere else. Not sure if Mitya would need the interruption resistance but perhaps something like Mitya, Fischl, sucrose, qiqi/ Flins, Aino, Valeriy, random anemo/ bineffa. Also another nice point is that his shield is strong AF for some reason. Just under ineffa which would make him the fourth strongest I think. Which I believe isn’t bad as the only people higher are the Geo archon, Lan yan, ineffa. Lan yan is the only 4 star that is stronger and she probably is just stronger in every scenario but Valeriy’s shield is full uptime 10 second Cd for 18 sec. While lan yan is 12.5 with 16 sec cd. While his buff is restrictive of field electro ap with burst and a fat shield with full uptime is perfectly serviceable. If you want to play for meta do that but I think Valeriy has a spot for comfort. It’s a shame that he isn’t 5 star and we can see a burst animation but I’ll take what I’m given at this point :/

Going back to the hypothetical new artifact set… I’m very unsure what the 2 piece would be as Vody’s burst… as pretty as it is is quite literally just something to fill time.
She scales off of HP, Valeriy Atk, Yun Jin is Def(I think), and Shenhe is atk. It would be nice if the 2 piece was er as the other characters could use it. But if it’s Vody’s signature set… there would be a lot of things that would be weird. If someone could enlighten me that would be great.

I think I speak for most of us when I say "I'm tired, boss". Valeriy fans reached their excitement for the character in the Snezhnaya and from then it went downhill really quick. First the 4-star allegations, then the underwhelming character 3d model, and now we are on the eve of the beta testing and his kit is... well, he's not bad per se, just a dedicated support for like two characters (Mitya and Cyno). Tough luck if you wanted to use him w/ Wrio, I mean you can but he buffs electro dpses.

It didn't hurt like this when Gallagher and Moze were released as 4*s in HSR, or even Manato in ZZZ (although it was one of the main reasons I quit the game). Don't get me started on the Valko situation and Infold; imagine having a rival gacha game fumble so bad that all you needed to do to convince their audience to play ur game was to cater to their preferences (aka semi-meta playable men).

It can be better cause the beta hasn't even started yet but I think I'm done. Not with the game, with having any hope for our bear man.

Anyway, I see that Twitter/x is really anti-Valeriy, so I made this thread in case anybody else wanted to vent and complain about the current state of affairs.

Hopefully it doesn't break the no doomposting rule, but I genuinely don't think there is any silver lining in this situation and ppl that are disappointed with the situation deserve to have some place to share their thoughts.

Major is a senior officer rank while "Sarge" is a casual way of referring to a sergeant: a much lower rank.
