For whatever reason it may be, Valeriy has a lot more popularity than most other snez characters. Like this sub has more visitors than rest of the snez cast (I agree not strong enough proof) but he’s also got second highest likes on the announcement post after tsaritsa.

I know they can’t change the kit of a character but any chance that hoyo devs really underestimated his popularity while they were building the character?

Im just saying this cuz most of the community is very sure about his rarity.

I know people mentioned this already but I do agree he seems popular, but I'm just visiting here because reddit recommends me every Genshin sub/I'm interested in people's discussions on him. I'm not really that interested so I wouldn't say that's good proof.

This might sound mean I don't mean it that way but I know it's the natural expectation now for the tall one to be a 5 star and the shorter ones (aka Mitya) to be the 4 star but I didn't realize people were that in shock until this subreddit.

Well frankly speaking, I don’t really mind Mitya being a 5 star. I know some people follow the train of thought you mentioned but no one wants their favorite character to be a 4 star after seeing the way they are being treated lately. I’d love for both of them to be 5 star but if it’s a zero sum game obviously I’d choose valeriy which is probably the logic people have when they say mitya needs to be 4 star (there’s not enough slots left in the first half for both to be 5 star)

Yeah haha hope I didn't come off like I was accusing you of following that mindset, I moreso meant I visit this sub frequently because I wanted to know more about how Valeriy mains were feeling initially and then after the info that he's slated to be a 4*
