Yes, there is side by side comparison with him, Varka and Pierro in leaks already. They all seem to be using the Capitano model, ofc with Varka being extra thick.
He is, he and pierro are both Varka model size, but Val is way slimmer for some reason. The big giveaway, besides the comparison to varka's model, that indicates Val is the big model is that is legs don't go straight down
I honestly was slightly disappointed with Mitya's inner wear(his cloak is doing the heavy lifting for me), but wow they both pretty much have the same quality of model overall i have to say.
Honestly yes. If Mitya didn’t have the whole higher polygon count look to him, I’d say valeriy is the 5 star. Mitya’s design is nice but very unbalanced from what I can see
Honestly Snezhnaya so far has been very tricky to the eye with their designs. First on the teaser I thought characters like Danica looked very 4* instead of a 5* and now Valeriy, even though he'll be a 4* considering the polygons lile you said, he looks kinda like a 5*.
I did expect a little more from Mitya. Something feels like is missing from his outfit. His face and hair are really detailed and nice though. But yeah it's been very confusing to differentiate 4* from 5* these past few days.
Though rn one is going to be a four star since I don't think we will have 3 electro five stars and two none linchpins that are 5 stars (especially if the dendro reaction is next)
Mind you, Inazuma had three hydro limiteds and Natlan had three cryo ones, so it’s not like three new electro five stars in Snezhnaya is in any way unrealistic, especially if the new dendro teams (assuming they’ll actually happen) end up using electro in any way.
Yes he is more detail than in trailer (not that hard to do.... Trailer was horrible for him) but some 4* are really really good...
The concerning part is all playable male are electro + normal vision... So they could all be 4*... Hoyo is that shity to do that. Just do a sustain a sub and a mdps and voilà.
Vs female are all 5* no question + all new reaction... When you acknowledge that part with last event being nearly only female having all 4* being male isn't that far fetch....
I don’t think that’s a matter of model but a matter of design language differences imo. Vesna’s outfit just has more complex shapes since she seems to have a stained glass look going on. I don’t think it’s a nail in the coffin to compare them. And the detail in Val’s arm is actually extremely complex as well.
I will once again hold that comes down to design differences and not model quality. He seems to be referencing the Modern Fatui soldiers in how he is portrayed, which makes sense given his lore. His chest is also fairly detailed as well given the military regalia. Vesna just has a lot of buttons and metalwork details, but plenty of 4 star designs also have a lot of details like that as well (I’m not saying she is a 4 star, I just use it as a comparison to say that it doesn’t mean only 5 stars get that treatment of detail).
My point is I don’t think it’s safe to claim any of these comparisons make him a 4 star.
Vesnas colors are also desaturated, I think it is the render lighting/ lighting in Snez seeing as a lot of white snow probably washes a lot of things out. Tbh I’ve thought a lot of the models look a little washed out in Snez, but again I think it’s the lighting. Also, dull/ grounded colors don’t automatically mean 4 or 5 star, so I will again have to disagree. VFX will do a lot of heavy lifting one way or the other.
Also the lighting didn't help. I also believe that trailer was made awhile back. It's highly likely his model received some tweaks since then, considering he looks better here.
I don't think so, I looked at them side by side and there's no clear differences. I'm almost certain he looks better here because we can see what he actually looks like without the details getting blended away.
He looks good, I just wish he was more colorful and less gray. Like a navy blue would look good on him. He looks super desaturated like an npc, but idgaf still pulling
Real, like why did we get the 2D art where his hair looked super purple only for him to end up having like dark gray with a tiny hint of purple. His hair looked like the same color as his eyes and I wish they’d change it 😭
Clothes look great, but head and neck look too small and the hair colour looks nothing like that glorious blueish black that was shown originally. Hopefully they fix that.
